So I'm guessing this will only occur whenever you're playing a newer titles? So for example I'm currently running hekate v6.1.1 and Atmosphère 1.7.0, Do these tend to release updates side by side? If one updates, can you expect the other to be...
  • bupeapoop
Quick question. Without staying up to date with the Switch Jailbreaking Scene, how do I know when it's time to update both Hekate and Atmosphere? With the Sysmod-Patch module, will that automatically update the Sig Patches whenever these become...

A couple questions folks. Firstly, is it possible for me to check the firmware version of my SysNAND CFW? I'm keen to know what firmware version it's currently running out of sheer curiosity. I haven't used it for well over 18+ months and I'd...

Thanks for explaining your backup process. In essence, you like to keep things as simple as possible. That works with me also. As I play around with my Switch, I'll no doubt add more apps/modules to my SD Card so I'll most likely take another...

You're right. There's guides for creating both emuNAND and sysNAND CFW. I went with their "Recommended for New Users" option which was emuNAND CFW. It seems this was the wiser of the two options. Thanks for the guide. This is perfect and...
  • bupeapoop
That guide do not create a EmuNAND and make all on the SysNAND, so if you only follow that guide you don't have EmuNAND so by copying the full content of the cart to another place will make a backup. and restoring on to a new card will allow you...

They have guides for creating emuNAND and sysNAND CFW, with emuNAND being the recommended one, as it can be seen here. Since you probably have partition based emuNAND, I suggest following this guide. I suggest going with the NxNandManager method...

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. Your answer is leads me onto one more question. With me being new to Jailbreaking, I'm unsure whether or not I have a RAW partition based EmuNAND or a File Based EmuNAND? I followed the NH Switch...
  • bupeapoop
If you have a RAW partition based EmuNAND you need to backup that using a tool like EmuTool or dd (in linux) and also backup all files on the visible partition of the card. If you have a File Based EmuNAND or you don't have one, simply transfer...

Just a quick one folks. So earlier today, I purchased the exact same 400GB SanDisk Ultra SSD that I'm currently using in my Switch. This was purchased as a backup. What I'd like to know is how best to back this up? Should I go ahead and format...

Couple quick question before I head off to work. 1. Since jailbreaking my Switch over the course of the Easter weekend, I've not once made any attempt to log into the official Nintendo Switch OS and update it to its current release version...
  • bupeapoop
Thanks for clearing this up. For the mean time, I'll hold off installing both the kip_patches and exefs_patches since I have the sys-patch module installed. Since I already went ahead and installed Tesla, I'll check out the log file in the hope I...

You're fine if patched items are all green when you look at the sys-patch log in the overlay. They should be orange if you have both sigpatches and sys-patch, green if you only have sys-patch, and red if unpatched. That's about the only way...
  • bupeapoop
This worked for me. I'm guessing v2.0.1 which was last updated back in Ocotber 2022 will still work with the latest version of Atmosphere?
  • bupeapoop
Ah perfect. Thanks for point me in the right direction. I downloaded the Hekate+AMS-package3-sigpatches-1.7.0p-cfw-18.0.0.zip from the link provided. I've then went ahead and copied over the hekate_ipi.ini and patches.ini files across to the...

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
