I currently have used Rein and NDS_Backup_Tool on my M3SlimSD. Is there any way to use that on the R4 as well? Or if not, could it be used and direct the output to the slot 2 cart?

For dumping DS games and dumping/restoring save files when using a slot-1 device, use Rudolph's Wifi tool. For dumping/restoring save files, you can also use SavSender. For dumping GBA games using a slot-1 device, use GBAldr by cory1492. For dumping/restoring GBA saves using a slot-2 device, use Chishm's cart_save tool. For dumping GBA saves from a slot-1 device, use EEPINATOR but keep in mind it only works with SRAM saves, not EEPROM or Flash.

SavSender, usage guide 1, and usage guide 2
GBAldr
cart_save
EEPINATOR

You can't use REIN and EEPINATOR to do DS game saves because the R4 doesn't reinitialize the filesystem upon reinsertion, so it won't be able to write the save to your microSD card. That's why you must use a Wifi-based tool to do this.

Right now, Cart_save, and GBAldr will be very usefull.
(unfortunately since I have a desktop and am broke (after buying the R4 with the only disposeable income I had left), I can't use any of the other tools due to the Wi-Fi requirement.

I used Rudolph's Wifi first, not very reliable. I tried to back up my Pokemon Diamond sav. The backed up sav had a box full of bad eggs. I used savsender after that. Worked like a charm.

EDIT: It came out as a 256 k file. Works on Pokesav, but not on my R4, it says damaged SAV. Here's a better program for recieving the sav, it padded on 256 more KB. Works on R4.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
