I would like to jailbreak PS3 but it only has 111 GB of storage, so is it possible to use external hard drive to download and install games on?
I can't afford any drive right now, that's why I'm asking.External PS3 HDD can only use iso format, as for internal you can use up to 1TB, so you can upgrade the the drive before jailbreaking.

That's sad to hear, I for wait until I can buy drive for PS3. Thank you for answer my question. You won't be able to install on external drive, you can only mount iso
I don't know about downloading to, if you psn or one of those piracy stores, but you can use an external hdd for those titles. the problem is that it only works with fat32, and it's very slow to install pkgs to (like an hour or longer for a large one). it's called game data tool. an alternative is to use psn liberator, which just requires the game and its rap and klicense (there's a database for this), but it's not compatible with all games. iso games are no problem though as they can be on ntfs. only ps2 games must be on the internal hdd. if using hen, you have to use ps2 classics since lv2 is unloaded with a special version of it for ps2 mode. That's sad to hear, I for wait until I can buy drive for PS3. What hdd do I need?it's mostly that an ssd is likely to wear out more quickly than an hdd. also, you need a 1TB or less.
