The Switch version comes with all the Mission mode DLC stages from the original game’s release as well as some enhancements. These include the ability to play the whole Story mode in co-op, new side-story missions which can also be played in co-op, new difficulty options, lock-on targeting, optional hints and the choice to play at a more relaxed pace.

I really like the pikmin games, but I don't like the time management aspect. I know it's a big part of the game, but I just want to relax and enjoy it and do everything that needs to be done.
So I played all three games with cheats to stop the time from advancing, much more enjoyable for me personally. Nice to slow down and appreciate the views, rather than rush and worry! It's still a challenge.

I think I read they are making a 4th one...? I bet re-releasing 3 is part of the plan :)
Been literal years since Miyamoto's claims towards that, so yeah. There's plenty ground on this one...
there is already a 4 pikmin game and people missed it its on the 3ds
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey!_Pikmin

preety sure this was what myamoto was talking about, since it was released like 6 months after he said that more or less so yeah there is a 4 game, just not the one people expected. now we need pikmin 5.

So the only good wiiu exclusive first party title besides hd remasters is mario 3d world, i bet its coming out soon too, there is no reason to not release it tbh.

I'm so glad we get the Piklopedia for 3 now; I'm stoked as hell and Pikmin 3 was one of the best games on Wii U (obviously subjective). If you guys haven't played 1 or 2, 3 is quite self contained and is a great place to start.

Also I refuse to acknowledge Hey! Pikmin as Pikmin 4 I will cry if this is what Miyamoto meant.

Omg yet again another recycled old port.

That hardly anyone ever played because it was on Wii U.

I'm ecstatic. We have the game and a Wii U, but I've still not played it. It's my daughter's Wii U, so I didn't get a lot of time on it. I do have a Switch now that's mine, and I'm very happy they're porting this game. Think I'll spend the next couple months replaying Pikmin 1 & 2.

Glad this isn't stuck on the Wii U now. All we need now is Mario 3D World and all the good games on it will be ported.

We all know "good" is subjective but:

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water
Game & Wario
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Twilight Princess HD
The Wind Waker HD
Paper Mario: Color Splash
Splatoon
Star Fox Guard
Star Fox Zero
Ultimate NES Remix Pack
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshi's Woolly World

first i dont consider hd remasters to be labeled wiiu ports, becuase they are gc games so if they came to the switch they would just be another gc remasters rather than a wiiu port imo.

yoshi woolly world/nes remix already got a port to 3ds with more content so i doubt it will see a switch port imo.

splatton is basicaly a multiplayer online game and with splatton 2 just being so very close why would anyone pay 60$ for a last gen multiplayer port on the same system which the sequel exists and has everything it had and more? doesnt make sence.

for me the possible final switch deluxe titles would be
xenoblade chronicles X
mario 3d world

No paper mario game was ever remade/ported to any console before so colo splash has less chances of happening than a full remake of the first paper mario imo, the rest of those games were terrible games that sold badly and wouldnt make any money specialy at 60$ imo.

Yoshi's Wooly World, and the two Zelda remakes and I will have everything I want... oh and 3D World, but that is almost certainly happening anyway.

Wow last the life of Nintendo Switch wishing for this moment ... with this I will be able to complete the catalog of this game and one less reason to acquire a Wii U.

You'd think they'd be tired of backhanding us Wii U owners in the face by now, and running out of Wii U games to port over, but I guess not. Literally nobody wants this... We wanted Pikmin 4.

@BigOnYa, and since the default emulator is below average i downloaded some "replacements" like snes9x for snes games for example

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
And I also have my ps3
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    ack my throat
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I need to invest in some storage totes tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tots?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tootles? Wtf
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Oh tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
