Crashes my switch when initializing. Any solution?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Wasn't working for me neither at the beginning.
Then I removed themes folder in /switch/sx/ (sdcard) and it worked!

I did this still crashed.

I don't know if it's lack of knowledge or just stubbornness that people still use exfat, but there's zero reason. Especially on SX OS it's the easiest all you have to do is have an external hard drive and format it to exfat (which is fine) and if you want to install your games just install them off that hard drive and keep your sd card fat32, then there's no 4 gb limit. If someone just stays on exfat they're just asking to have their sd card corrupted unless they use no homebrew but almost everyone does.

yes, im using exfat..

i will skip this version.. waiting for next update for more stable (no error to force power off switch)

no need to wait for the next version to be more stable! FAT32 has been around since before the switch was released and it is 10000 more times stable than exFAT. There are literally hundreds of comments and threads on here saying do not use exFAT because it is unstable.

Having said that I am on Fat32 forever and this just crashes when I launch it, I even deleted themes folder still crashes. So maybe there does need to be a new version unless someone has another solution.

So was exFAT... The only reason FAT32 is recommended is because the switches drives are horrible, in a general hardware exFAT is better.

I think he's probably using ExFAT and since this is homebrew it makes you vulnerable to corruption. I'm on FAT32 and had crashes but no corruption.

Nah, I've tried both formats for my microSD, kept or deleted the themes folder as suggested earlier, redownloaded, etc. Still crashes for me.

(im using sandisk usb type-c flashdrive)
https://www.sandisk.com/home/mobile-device-storage/ultra-usb-type-c

any other homebrew to do copy paste from usb to sdmc ?

edit : in FAT32 it just CRASH ONLY MY SWITCH (not corrupted my sd card)

Switch to atmosphere and enjoy sys clk, dock mode graphics on handheld, auto inject payload when crash. There are no reason to stick with SX

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
