Hi. Im looking to purchase a gamecube controller (FACTORY REFUBISHED) And an official nintendo adapter (cheap and used) but im not willing to pay more than 40 for a wired gamecube controller plus an adapter. does anyone know where can i get a FACTORY REFURBISHED NOT COLLECTIBLE OR USED IT NEEDS TO BE FACTORY REFURBISHED PLEASE for not more than 40 and the official nintendo adapter as well? thanks!

I don't really think what you're asking for is possible. An original Gamecube controller (not a newer one modeled after an original) doesn't come cheap due to their popularity, and that's without even factoring in the adapter.

Regardless of what you changed (which makes my comment make less sense) I still don't think what you want is possible at that price point. You're going to have to spend a little more than that for what you want. I don't even think the controller you want alone comes for <$40, and then you have to factor in the adapter. Even if you got the controller + a cheap Chinese knockoff adapter you're looking at $60-65 minimum.
(side note: were there even factory refurbished GC controllers? Never heard of such a thing.)

The brand new Smash Bros Switch edition Gamecube Controllers are $25 usd msrp. There are adapters on amazon.com, they aren't official, so ymmv, but they are around $15.

nostalgia purposes. the new one just has a circle cut in 4 un-equal parts while the other one makes mention of a legendary console. also the new one starts to slip in your hands when they get sweat while the old one doesn't. both have rumble but the old one rules

I suggest buying the Mayflash adapter instead. It has a PC mode so it works more seamlessly with PC without requiring workarounds, and works just the same on Wii U/Switch, and it costs $20. But this shouldn't be in the GameCube section I think, since it's related to using GC peripherals on another console, not sure though.
You might be able to get a used GC controller for 20 bucks I guess. If the stick is worn out you can replace it (probably cheaply) which shouldn't be too difficult, and if you're worried about grease and germs from the last owner, give it a good wipe with rubbing alcohol.
