Hopefully simple question. I've currently got a switch from before the hardware fixes were implemented, hasn't been hacked yet (don't have an RCM jig yet but i do plan to get one soon), currently is on firmware 5.1.0. I would like to hack it in the future, as i plan to buy a second switch to transfer everything over to, and leave the original one as my completely offline hacked system.
If i upgrade from 5.1.0 to 6.2.0, will i still be able to homebrew the system with currently available homebrew methods? i'm still trying to learn about switch hacking, (just got off a major binge of wii U hacking earlier in the year and still am adding stuff to that system) and I saw the thing about Atmosphere has apparently been made usable with 6.2.0, so while i don't know what atmosphere is yet, i know there is current homebrew that is usable. so I assume the RCM stuff will still allow exploitation in the, at least near future? trying to get the second switch by the end of the year, early next year, before too many more firmware updates come out.
Edit: quick thought, i guess the other question that comes from this all is what's the quick rundown of other homebrew methods/systems/CFWs, and what sort of access to stuff is lost by being limited to the one that currently works if the upgrade is made?
