Can someone help me? I've updated to 6.1.0 but after the update, the Switch screen just stays black. I can still hold the home button and the quick menu pops up, and same for the power button menu, but I can't turn it off or restart it. Any help?
Powering it off like you said worked. I also changed the fullsvcperm = 1 part in hekate.ini, but after booting to CFW, the menu is still black. I'll try downgrading back to 5.1.0 and hope that works. If not, I'm boned, since I can't find my NAND backup :/Keep pressing and count till 13, it should power off.
I do hope the installation process went well (confirmation from homebrew) and that you have a nand backup.

I did select exFat since I already updated to exFat before I hacked my switch. Should I still try a Fat32 formatted SD card? And if so, can I just format this one and place the CFW files on it after?Maybe your CFW configuration is at fault here? Did you select the ExFat update of the FW? Try booting from a Fat32 to confirm.

From what I've read on a reddit thread, formatting to Fat32 seems to fix the issue. What would I do if I then want to get exFat support? Also, thanks for taking the time to answerYes. Try it with your actual card.
Note that when installing a new fw with ChoixduJour, you have to reinstall the exFAT update by selecting that option (even if you previously had it!)

Just to make sure I understood, I should redownload the sd files and place them on a fat32 formatted card? Or is it enough to just copy my files and then paste them after formatting? I did the latter and it didn't change anything (can't say I'm surprised). You use the homebrew again to install the same FW but this time you select Exfat. You can then format your card as Exfat and you should be good to go.
Good day to you.
I managed to get it working. What I did was format it to exFat and then download the latest SDFiles. Maybe the archive bit is your problem. Try to execute sudo chflags -R arch /Volumes/<SD card>/Firmware on your shell, while the SD card is connected to your mac.
how do i go about doing this?
- Search for "Terminal" and open it
- Type in ls -la /Volumes/ and execute it with Enter
- Connect your SD card to your mac
- Type in ls -la /Volumes/ again. Compare the new output to the one you got on step 2. Which volume is new? This one should be your SD card
- Type in sudo chflags -R arch /Volumes/<Your SD card Volume>/Firmware and execute it
- Safely eject your SD card
i got this error in terminal and it wont let me type in it:
login: illegal option -- L
usage: login [-pq] [-h hostname] [username]
login -f [-lpq] [-h hostname] [username [prog [arg ...]]]
[Process completed]
When do you get that error? After opening the Terminal? Just for clarification, you should get a window like this one:
yea i got it right after i open terminal on my mac.. will try bash!
