switchs hardware isn't bad for a portable system the 3ds was cheap android phones were even more powerful then it.
tbh the switch is 2017 hardware... and
i could use the wii u and would get the same fps in some games... ^^ so yeah i am pissed that the hardware is not as impressive as nintendo told us it would be... (overclock while docked for example)

Have you even done any research on it? The 3DS was plenty strong for what was intended and making it more powerful would greatly increase production cost, which affects retail price! Unless you wanted to pay 400+$ or whatever for it, you are just complaining about something that couldn't be avoided.

As for the Switch, it's as powerful as it can without sacrificing battery life to extreme degrees. Anything more powerful with the same energy consumption would double the price!

How long does it take people to stop whinning about Nintendo having 2 active consoles (one handheld and one home "with portable option") as usual?
Like, what do you get from Nintendo stopping the support of 3DS? Switch already has a very strong library of games for a 9 months old console, so there's no reason to believe that "death" of 3DS would help it in any significant way, except if you realy care about that all shovelware games and good but niche titles that 3DS will get to be released on Switch, but that's just outright stupid and repeating faulty opinions of community for the sake of repeating faulty opinions of community.

tl;dr - Probably not in next few years. It's still a cash console for Nintendo, and Switch is not supposed to replace it SO DEAL WITH IT GODDAMNIT.

But once 3ds owners get a switch they won't be buying any more 3ds games i only really played pokemon on my 3ds and now its not getting any more mainseires games im not going to be using it much any more maybe when the games get cheaper i might buy more games for it.

True. I was really hoping they would do something like having a second GPU and CPU in the docking station to enhance performance! Like, have the Switch as is right now, but sell a special docking station that adds such capabilities separately... That way, if you want more power, you swap the normal with the special one and if you don't, you still get to use it docked with default capabilities.

Obviously they will if there will be 3DS games worth purchasing, tha't faulty logic. Also Nintendo already confirmed that 3DS is directed to different group of players, so the fact that Switch users will not buy 3DS games is... pointless. Especialy now, when Switch is still pretty expensive and has no direct cheaper counterpart. PROBABLY 3DS will die if we will get that cheaper counterpart, like Switch mini or something. Right now selling the most expensive option and disregarding people wanting cheap consoles and games is worst thing for Nintendo.

some people want to put there money into switch games rather then 3ds games. Because they look better then 3ds games.

That's not the reason to kill 3DS, but the reason for "some people" to... buy Switch games instead of 3DS games, wow. Again... why Nintendo shall do something that is not good for their buisness? Why they should abandon a pretty significant playerbase? Switch owners will not gain anything from it, 3DS owners will probably not buy their next console if they already did not, and Nintendo will lose money.

3DS is still alive because it's good for Nintendo AND for players, simple. No person will gain anything from killing it.

I suspect 2019 is the final year. Then the Switch will have a big market as well and they can focus everything to it.
