Gericom found an exploit in DS Download Station, allowing us to run any homebrew we'd like over DS download play.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it just directly downloads them and then launches them if downloaded so that it takes less time if you play these downloaded titles a lot.
I was asking if it was DS and the 3ds were similar in this regard and I guess I just came across wrong.

and Does this also mean we can patch hacked DS Games (Mario Kart DS) to send out hacked multiplayer by not using DS Download Station, like patch the rom itself?

Eh a useful homebrew to make for this would be a gba wifi rom dumper since i have an old ds lite but no flash card

Could nds-savegame-manager be modified to work with this? It says it can dump saves over wifi, so no SD access won't be a problem there. However, it looks like it tries to load ftp settings from an ini file. If this homebrew was modified to hard-code the ip and stuff, would it work? Or does the DS not even have NDS or GBA save access when running download play?

Edit: Oh, DS can only connect to WEP hotspots. R.I.P plan, 7/21/17-7/24/17.

you need to open it with cmd, so open CMD first then navigate to the directory where dspatch.exe is located and just type dspatch.exe, then it will work
