I actually going to get Pokken DX for safety plus I'm a bit curious if it runs any better than the Wii U version. Since if I know the Internet right, (And I probably do) if this is a holy grail, Pokken DX will be scalped to shit and a reprint will have 3.0.1+ on it.You always get will be able to update to 3.0.0 if you are below it, so if you are just an end user, be patient by the time something worthwhile comes out you might be able to update for free.
Maybe not, but I'd rather wait until buying an game specifically to update, unless I need to.
oh god it's begun the site is slowing down because of the onslaught of newbs!

Same here, my friend! The only thing I care about is RetroArch for Switch.
So this might be a fantastic release to make this happen anytime in the future. Good work guys!
You know, there is this thing called firmware spoofing, which lets you use games and access to the online services by spoofing to the latest firmware... You obviously might already know what it is, so dont forget it could be a thing for the people with a homebrewd switch just like it happened with the wii u and 3ds.
I thought the eFuses stopped this being a thing on the switch?
What about the possibility of a cfw? Wouldnt it help with the updating thing while preserving entrypoints, patches, etc and making it possible to play newer games? You won't be spoofing higher firmware without finding holes in said higher firmware first, extracting its encryptions et al, and then engineering a new firmware spoof. But then you risk getting your console unique SSL cert banned (if they detect, and they have ways to detect, spoofing), at which point...
Notice how daeken and others have regularly told you not to hope for any major development in higher firmwares, its because the holes to gain access as we have it now were fixed. We can't just fart out new firmware spoofs and by the time someone makes their way into higher order firmware, the firmware (and software compatibility sheets) will have moved.
Fuses are a hardware level (at boot) protection layer, they have no affect on a spoof that is done during runtime. They are problems because they limit the size of the scene drastically due to a lack of viable switches and no way to make more than what already exists.
