I hope i'm not being too much of a bother, but I need some help. I'm trying to use Sonic Gems Collection and it packed just fine, but when I try to start the game I get Error Code: 160-2793 when it seems like its working and Error Code 199-9999 at the Wii U home menu. Anyone know how to fix this?
You need run signature patches before run an injected game.

I had the same problem when I try to pack something with Wiivc Injector Script on a FAT32 formated device.

@KhaderWelaye: I think you should warn about not execute your script on a FAT32 formated device because it seems to cause some problem, even if the script told that evrything is OK.

@FIX94 Are the improvements you added to Wiisxr Wii U only?
Are there some performance improvements if you play it on a Wii?
I suppose the only improvement you'll get on Wii/vWii without a WiiVc is the fix to autoload the config file properly.
there will be no improvement in the emulation.

Hey man, how come nobody can be happy with what they got, Its this complaining that stopped me from going on the retroarch thread, FIX94 made it possible for all of us to play psx and n64 games at good rates and people have to complain, I suggest that if you have a problem with the devs, Learn how to code, and do it yourself instead of complaining about how they aren't doing enough for you, They owe you nothing, and this complaining is exactly what drives the devs from making anything for anybody. Dont forget what the title of this thread is, it has nothing to do with what you are talking about.

I said a few times in the RA thread that as soon as people got a reasonable PSX emulator they would immediately move on to begging for something else. "People" being a person I suppose.

I had an issue last night trying to run Not64 channel through cbhc, it would not load the vwii side after running the patcher first, you would see the wii sign but its not loading I tried to put it direct onto cbhc menu to load as an option but I still got a black screen, You can here the wii side not kicking in? If I run Not64 without the patcher it works but the games wont run properly without the patcher first. I'm not sure if I have missed something?

I only see a problem with this, and that is.. I know WiiSXR or some PSX emulator is very possible on Wii it has enough power, you need to code it from the ground probably.

What @FIX94did is to me, the easy way out to this problem. And if I was a developer I would take the challenge not the easy way (just increase brute power)

I'm reminds me of the third parties and Nintendo, they are lazy af and they just want more ram and more power just to run stuff on them without any effort.

I also think this may affect Dynarec development for RA Wii U

I've installed some GC injects with this and wanted to know if there is a 'shortcut' way if I just wanted to customise the icon (change iconTex.tga) Do I have to completely start again or is there something I can alter in the WUP installable 'packed' files?

Thanks that's my problem I've installed it to both nand & usb it should be sysnand only.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So again, black screen/lock up only when first running c2w patches from the HBL prior to booting wiisxr. wiisxr forwarder works fine (but games run slow ala Wii mode) when skipping those steps - the forwarder was packed using the script in the OP without any modifications and installed to NAND with wupinstaller.

EDIT: nevermind, got it sorted
Sorted!

Sorry for this question, because I know it's been discussed already, but trying to read through 119 pages of content is kinda difficult. Using the search function doesn't work either, because "gamecube" and "controller" are two very wide keywords to be using :P

Could someone give me a very short summary of the state of GameCube controllers with GC VC? I would like to use a VC GameCube game (Sunshine, for example) with my GameCube controller. The way I understand it, the gamepad is set to Player 1 automatically and any new controller gets P2, P3 or P4 once it's connected. Would it be possible to get my GC controller to be P1 and the Gamepad P2?

You can get the GameCube controller to be player 1 by opting not to use the GamePad when launching your Title, but the GamePad will always be player 1 if you select it.

Quick question, if i have a Mayflash GC controller adapter will i be able to use GC controller with GC injects?
Theoretically yes, the Wii U should see the device exactly the same as a legitimate adapter.

@wicksand420 @ploggy found a little tutorial to join several .bin files into one for PSX isos, saddly it doesn't fix the missing audio tracks issue, it seems the only way to get those audio tracks working is enabling CDDA audio emulation, but it's disabled on WiiSXR.
1. Extract the zip / 7z file to a folder.

2. Open Daemon Tools. Mount the .cue file from the folder to a Virtual Drive.

3. Open IMGBurn. Select "make image file from Disc".

4. There will be a little folder icon somewhere on the GUI. Click that to select where to save the newly created 'single bin and single cue' file.

5. Then press Go or whatever the hell that big button is at the bottom of the IMGBurn GUI lol. IMGBurn scrunches up all the files to make a 'single bin and cue' file which you can then play in emulators and the music will be present

By chance have an old WiiSX version that allows CDDA emulation?
Been looking for one myself but only could find WiiSXR builds

some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high

@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
