Well, i need a bit of help with this. I'm trying to connect a dualshock 4 via bluetooth to my LG Stylus 2 plus, which is running android 6.0.1. It connects but, it doesnt detect any input from the controller. Is there something else i should do? I have searched for help but can't find a fix for this.

Thank you for reading.

It should just work out of the box, I just tested mine on a Galaxy S8 with 7.0 and it works right after connecting.

Can you navigate Android's menus right after connecting the controller? Or does it simply do nothing as soon as you connect it?

It does nothing after connecting. I have tried multiple IME apps but none seems to work.
