Does anyone else read this magazine? https://retrogamer.net/

It's a UK publication that is distributed worldwide, and is owned by Future Plc. I have been reading it since July 2017, with issue 170 and it is quite a nice magazine, in fact it is the first mag I have read in years! :D

You don't have to be active all the time ya know, quite a lot of people drop in and out of forums every now and then but your choice I suppose :)

And yeah, the one with the orange cover and Donkey Kong on the front. Picked it up from WHSmiths yesterday, I really liked the Lost in Translation and The Unconverted sections. :)

I've bought random issues of it since it launched (I think I still have the first 4 or 5 issues), but I tend to only get it if it has a particular article I'm interested in these days.
When it launched it filled a niche gap in the market, but these days it just feels like it's just regurgitating information that's easily found online.
Some of the 'special' issues are still worth buying, but for the most part I'd rather buy actual books. Hardcore Gaming 101 produce some excellent retro themed books.

Back then it was just called Gamer magazine..? :creep:

I remember seeing it, It was really expensive here though, physical magazines are generally too expensive and about 50% of it is advertising. Also I'd rather read on my phone than a book or a magazine.

Yep I have found so many great games thanks to retro gamer magazine that I would never have heard about any other way lol.

No it has always been called retro gamer magazine you are thinking of games tm which is a different magazine. If you have an android tablet or phone you can buy retro gamer magazine from the play store which I would recommend you do it really is the best computer magazine around.

Hehe, I know, that was just me doing a terrible pun. I might actually check it out in digital format, I do miss reading video game magazines, especially if it's anything like Edge was... I want to read interviews with the people who made the games and music.

Lol I'm a bit slow sometimes. The magazine pretty much is full of interviews with game designers from the 80s and 90s they also tell you about a lot of games that are really good but you have probably never heard of. It is very much like how edge was years ago.
