No, it requires 1.4.0. It makes use of the fact that the DS card whitelist's signature isn't checked in 1.4.0. Presumably, he's using an Acekard 2i in that video with a malformed header that lets him take control of the launcher(?). I'm not sure why there's so much secrecy around it.will this work in 1.4.3?
Gotta ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it until that homebrew bounty starts. No, it requires 1.4.0. It makes use of the fact that the DS card whitelist's signature isn't checked in 1.4.0. Is there any way to downgrade a dsi without a hardmod? No, it requires 1.4.0. It makes use of the fact that the DS card whitelist's signature isn't checked in 1.4.0. Actually, I can understand wanting to wait to reveal the details. It was only just revealed today as a proof of concept. I'm just too impatient in wanting to learn all the details.

Well last I heard you needed that TWLtools toolset to downgrade, and that's with a hardmod. Glad to hear we've progressedWrong. You can downgrade using fwtool and a DSiWare based exploit that gives access to nand. That + retrieving the console id by exporting a game to SD from Data Management and using dsi_srl_extractor to extract the Bin file so one can find the console ID. fwTool can retrieve the nand CID. So you can do downgrade/other nand edits without a hard mod.
Wait, wouldn't we need to be on 1.4 to be able to run a DSiWare exploit in the first place?Wrong. You can downgrade using fwtool and a DSiWare based exploit that gives access to nand. No, as long as the exploit is on there it can be run on any version. That being said there is a new one being worked on, we don't know many details except that it's most likely for a DSiware title that came preinstalled on the later DSi's.Wait, wouldn't we need to be on 1.4 to be able to run a DSiWare exploit in the first place?

My guess is Flipnote Studio, but who knows
Oooh fancyNo 1.4 is only specific to the video I shown. Not to any of the existing exploits already public.
how does one do this? mind putting up a tutorial for it in the future?Wrong. You can downgrade using fwtool and a DSiWare based exploit that gives access to nand. It doesn't make use of TWLTool seen below:
