Ok, on my local store I've managed to preorder a Nintendo Switch (they don't let me choose the color yet), Zelda Breath of The Wild and 1-2 Switch :yayswitch:

No iirc the Joycons will not charge through the switch when playing undocked and without charging. To charge them you explicitly need to have the switch in dock, or the switch at ac adapter, or the charging grip.

Your probably correct on that. It would stop the battry drain if the joy-con was low.

Grey with the Zelda Bundle, but I wanted a Red and Blue because the controllers would be easier to spot. I'll just pick one up down the road.

I don't mind the price that much, I'm getting BoTW when I want to play singleplayer and 1-2 Switch because I want to play it with my family :)
It's a really shitty tech-demo compilation but you and your family might get some fun out of it.

When we got the wii for the first time we used to play the hell out of WiiSports, especially at parties and special ocasions when the full family was reunited.
Now only me and my lil' brother play videogames, but when I showed the 1-2 Switch trailer to my parents they got pretty excited, and I'm hoping this game brings the good moments WiiSports gave us at the time :)

Wii Sports and Nintendo Land were great pack-ins with lots of replayability but with 1-2 Switch you get to milk a cow virtually, think of how many balls you're holding, open a safe and the sorts. So much fun!

Where I live we milk goats (EDIT: I milked one myself btw), so cows will make no difference :P

I'd imagine (hope) that while they won't *charge* when connected to the undocked Switch, the undocked Switch should provide power to the joycons in the even that their batteries are flat.

It'd be a pretty grim situation to be traveling with a fully charged system that you're unable to play because the controllers have run out of juice.

The Joyless Cons hold a 20 hour charge. You have to F up a bunch of recharge cycles on the console for that to be a problem.

That's what I mean. They will receive power from the switch while playing mobile, but they won't be additionally charged to full battery. That's what I mean. That would only deplete the switch's battery even more.
