You're better off just using JK's Save Manager to back up your original savefile before you overwrite it with exploited one. Keep in mind however, that restoring your original savefile will remove basehaxx. If you want it installed on your own savefile, either edit the exploited savefile in PKHex until it matches your original one or install basehaxx with a different 3DS that is on a firmware below 11.1 (so that you can use basehaxx installer).

I know that, seems I misunderstood what you wanted to say.
Yeah, I've said that it's the best secondary (not second best) entrypoint. steelhax is the only exploit that allows the user to override the payload version (load a different payload from SD Card), which allows it to work on a different firmware than what it was installed on. Technically, basehaxx has that function too too, but it can only be accessed with its in-game menu, which doesn't work in the first place with the wrong version installed, so its usage is limited. Because of that, because of how easy it is to trigger and because of the fact that Steel Diver: Sub Wars is available for free on eShop, I think that steelhax is the best secondary entrypoint right now.
