Hello guys, firstly i just want to say that i do know that it is impossible to downgrade your system if it's above 10.7...
But i do already own a 2DS that is firmware 9.2 on SysNAND and 11.0.0-33E in EmuNAND..

The 2DS i'm going to buy is the new bundle that will soon be released.. It's
"Nintendo 2DS + Pokémon Sun (pre-installed)"

I have no idea which firmware it is going to be when it's released, but i'm guessing over 10.7 since it's all new...

But my question is, and i THINK i may have read it somewhere in this forum, but is it possible to somehow "transfer" the system files that i have in my 2DS that has CFW, to downgrade and make the new 2DS i'm going to buy firmware 9.2 sysNAND?? :)

i have not even started hacking my o3DS but did a lot of reading, i've read you must have one 3DS/2DS running cfw, do system transfer and do downgrade via dsiware hack something..and mentioned one game which was Fieldrunners must be installed on CFW3DS/2DS, must be a legit game as well or it wont work..anyway, someone here more knowledgeable can say something..also, other method you have is hardmod..

You don't have to worry. It's pretty straight forward. Though be cautious on the firmware that you're gonna use. Make sure it's the right region since I believe the latest SysDowngrader provided by the guide doesn't do checks(unlike the old PlaiSysupdater) if you're flashing the wrong region. I thought I bricked a brand new N3DS yesterday because I accidentally flashed a 9.2 US firmware to an 10.7 EUR console, it doesnt boot up, only blue led is on. Good thing recovery mode works and I have a spare CFW'ed EUR console with me so I still managed to install Luma & A9LH.

Well, technicly its enough to just have cfw but after transfer you have no way to recover CFW to your old3ds.

Should i buy the game inside the sysNAND or emuNAND?

CFW is not enough, it has to be A9LH because you need to transfer your updated sysnand

I don't think i have A9LH, i have an old CFW (rxTools) i really want to change to Luma but i'm afraid that i might mess something up :(

Hmmm now when i think about it.. Can't someone else just upload their backup file with different system and region so everyone can use them?
For instance they backup their 3DS files that they got when using the DSiWare Downgrade guide and is EUR region..

When? Just now? I just did a Dsiwarehaxx downgrade yesterday, 1 US and 1 EUR. Hopefully you;re just assuming.

I can also find it in the store :/
But if i may ask, when i buy the game, should i buy it when i'm in sysNAND or emuNAND? :)

I read somewhere that It should be emunand(the legit purchased one) and afterwards, you have to have the same copy on sysnand(it doesnt matter if it's legit or hacked) and you need to use GodMode9 to inject the save since FBI doesnt have access to Emunand's TWL NAND. But that was way back on the old guide so take it with a grain of salt. I suggest switch to A9lh first, it's not that hard.

I actually did a system transfer with updated emunand and it was successful and i downgraded to 9.2. You don't need a9lh, just an emunand.
so this is correct?

Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"

If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree

I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups

I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

    Oh tootles

I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
