So now im going back to the supplemental computing device on the NX patent...
the only thing that ive seen able to use any external graphics card enclosure is the Razor Core with AMDs Xconnect. That thing goes for $500, ITS NOT CHEAP, and thats without the graphics card itself. So if the only option was to use the Razor Core, your looking at a minimum of $750 for a little bit of an extra boost. (razor core $500 + amd rx 480 4gb $200 +tax). Taking a look at the form factor of the Razor Core, thats thing is BIG. It needs its own power supply and extra space to compensate for cooling...
So imagine if they did include an extra port and spaced enclosure build onto the console itself and not external for a graphics card, how big will the console be?
It would be pretty damn big, it would need its own power brick capable of around 500w to use the extra graphics card and if it wasnt then i wonder how they solved the cooling problems... Are they making their one custom graphics cards? i dont think so.
So reflecting on those two things. Cost for external graphics card, formfactor and cooling for extra graphic cards.
I DONT THINK THE NX IS GONNA BE AN UPGRADABLE CONSOLE
the supplemental conputing device might just be a home server based machine
