Im considering getting a N2 Elite from 3dscarduk.com as I have bought a blue button sky3ds from them a year ago and got it 5 days later.

I wanted to know has anyone had any problems with the N2 Elite itself and would you recommend it?

And also has anyone bought one from 3dscarduk.com? I have heard bad reviews from this website lately so im not sure about buying from them anymore.

Or if anyone has bought from a UK seller and have had no problems and it came from the uk and not china, please let me know the website :)

Any help appreciated

EDIT: also would like to know if I wanted to get the Amiibos I dont own from the internet, do I have to buy the reader/ writer as well as the circle device? Or can I just use my NFC android phone?

I bought the amiiqo when it came out, got a second as a free gift.

The units themselves are awesome, highly recommended (they are the same just rebranded to n^elite or something now)

I use my galaxy s4 mini to scan in/manage bins, it's so simple.

I don't use mine too much, but only problems I had with my amiiqo was that the app doesn't work on any device lower than kitkat 4.4, like my old phone (but they have a pc nfc module now anyway).
The fact that there's no figure stuck to the end is a big plus for portability, which was one of the reasons I bought one.

I bought my Gateway from 3dscarduk.com way back when they where first released, and then purchased my amiiqo from them last year. They ship from Singapore unless they state an item has UK stock (mine ended up coming from Singapore), so I had to wait a couple weeks which is still pretty fast delivery considering. But I've not really had any problems with them, so I'd say it's safe to order from them.

I think it's 4.1 .. But whatever the case is, it's certainly not 4.4, as it works on my 4.3 just fine.

Oh right maybe it was just my phone then, or it could be that the app was updated to support more versions of android/more devices, since they said they would work on it.
But at the time it meant I was kinda screwed because the app wouldn't work on my phone, and nfc wouldn't work properly on my tablet. So it was kinda hit and miss until I got my new phone.

I just wish you could use amiiqo with any nfc reader, my wifi antenna apparently has nfc but as far as I'm aware you need their own nfc reader for the now "N2 Elite" if you wanna use it on pc.

I don't think they supported more devices. After all, we didnt get an update for a long time. However, my phone was a high end phone at that time (Galaxy Note 3) and I didn't run into any problems running the app or getting it to work. So I'm more inclined to believe it was just something wrong on your end :)

From everything I am reading, the PowerTag that the Powersaves now comes with is pretty much the same thing for half the price. I have the N2Elite/Amiiqo and it works okay, but I think if it would have been a single amiibo per time at a lower price point, or enabled some sort of way to view the Amiibo listed (a little LCD screen) for the current price point, it would have done better. It's overpriced for what it is, and at that price, it should be easier to use.

Hmm.. I was looking at the powersaves one but I liked the idea of not having to use the PC and being able to have more than one amiibo stored on the device. Im still debating which one to get and where to get one.

I also read somewhere that you can also use skylanders, disney infinity and lego dimention files with the n2 elite? If true im sure the powersaves one wouldnt do that. I havent been able to find much info on that.

I don't have any of those types of figures but yeah, from what I remember it does support all of those, there are even several skylander figure files floating around on a website, can't remember the name but it was like a bank for nfc files or something.

So it is possible for the amiiqo to read them, since there are uploads of skylander figures. (but again, I've not tested this myself as I don't have any of those games)

I don't think that support for other toys-to-life ranges is official for the amiiqo, though I believe there may be unofficial ways to use it that are not public. Maxlanders seems the best one for Skylanders. There is a fully working method for Lego Dimensions, but again, that is not entirely public (you have to search deep links to find it) and it will probably be pulled if expolited too much.

I noticed that nh-game doesn't appear to ship to the territories. I am now trying axiogame but it has a large number of payment options I have never heard of.
Dragonpay???

Any clue on which to use?

:D Wish it was that simple,

Axiogames requires me to go through a secondary site to pay. No direct pay by the looks of it. It has Enets, CashU, Qiwi, trustpay, Yandex.Money and more. I have never heard of any of these and wondered which option you chose.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
