Any chance somebody found the correct address for MK8 PAL v4.1?

I like to quote myself so much :) The correct button activation address for MK8 PAL v4.1 is 1F604FF8. Adding 2 bytes to that and inserting it in the code instead of 1F10AEA2 works!
I did get a crash sometime after that, when I returned to the cup selection menu.

Many thanks CosmoCortney!

This doesn't seem to be working. I think the button activation address is wrong because when I have a look at 1F10AEA0, the value is not affected any button pression. It just keeps changing randomly like all the other values around. Maybe BullyWiiPlaza found that address on a different version.
Yes, it's from an older version but you can find it again easily if you search for the button activator values while they are pressed.

EDIT:
Nevermind, you got it already.

Change current item: (NTSC-U MK8 v4.0)
[3FB3CD70] + 12C = 000000XX
[3FB3CD70] + 130 = 000000XX
[3FB3CD70] + 134 = 000000XX

Set XX to whatever item you want according to this chart: (I've found that Star works very well.)
note: Sometimes it doesn't work for certain items, and sometimes the character loses the ability to collect any more items for the race. This is after all my first code for MK8, so expect that my future codes will work a little better. ;)
WARNING: YOU CANNOT CHANGE A TRIPLE ITEM INTO A SINGLE OR VICE VERSA WITH THIS CODE!!!

I'm trying to make progress on Item hacks for MK8 (working with v4.1 PAL), but it looks very tricky. The 3FB3CD70 address also works on my version so the values are there, but poking them leads to various unexpected results. So while I dive further into this, I thought I'd ask around if some of you found some patterns that can help make item hacking more stable.

I've also started to play around with
[3FB3CD70] + 50
[3FB3CD70] + 54
[3FB3CD70] + 58
which point to the number of item being held. So far only the infinite mushroom trick worked though, couldn't pinpoint anything else.

Since we can trigger the codes by the press of a button thanks to JGeckoU, hacking items properly would really turn in a lot of fun! I mean, speed, character switching and object sizes are fine too, but isn't Mario Kart all about busting each other around like crazy? :) MrBeann35000VR's video here looks like he was having a lot of fun.

Here is my current progress with Smash 4. Successfully ported the previous codes to the latest version. New codes are included as well with and without codetype format + source for updating to other versions! I'm going to enhance some of them with different "additional" codes such as fully functioning download content files (dlcs).

Smash 1.1.5 Update!

Is it possible to find a code that makes Miis in Mario Kart 8 mute? Seriously their voices ruined everything idk about you guys ;-; Was looking forward to using them. Also, would it be possible to make their helmets invisible or something? Or is that not possible?

for the first one, just make a normal RAM write. By the look of the value you can see it's a 32bit value. So the first line (cide type and address)
would be 00020000 AD5D9AFC
in the next line place the value and 00000000 right next to it :)
00020000 AD5D9AFC
480000DC 00000000

for the other code you can use a string write.
But who has made the code?
In order to make such a code you need to be able to set break points

Sorry, I guess this won't work, because 0xAD5D9AFC = 0x0D5D9AFC only virtual 0xA0000000 = physical address 0x80000000
the virtual address 0x01000000 's physical address is far from the virtual address 0x0D000000 's physical address of game
I guess JGecko U use normal kernel exploit virtual 0xA0000000 = physical address 0x31000000

I really wonder if someone will release TCP Gecko with a fully functioning Breakpoint tab sometime. At least is seems like some people already got that working. I know there is an implementation planned but who is gonna do that and how is the progress with it so far? Just curious about it since it can help a lot in many ways. Not to forget, the codetype format scheme is of course the first thing which has to be done in order to make codes work properly and more specific which is in work :)

then the code would be:

03010000 1F10AEA2
00001000 00000000
00120000 4443BB4C
45000000 4B000000
000052E4 44000000
D0000000 DEADCAFE

In MK8 I managed to find a way to change your item to any other you want by means of assigning every item to a specific trigger button. I wanted to squeeze the code a little so I tried to add all the button triggers before the D0000000 DEADCAFE line, but by doing so only the first button trigger can be used, so I'm short of technical knowledge about Cafe again.

I'll take the previous example (speed hack) to illustrate:

03010000 1F10AEA2
00001000 00000000
00120000 4443BB4C
45000000 4B000000
000052E4 44000000

03010000 1F10AEA2
00001010 00000000
00120000 4443BB4C
45000000 4B000000
000052E4 45000000

D0000000 DEADCAFE

The blue part is to speed up to a value of 44000000 by pressing Y, and the red part is to speed up to 45000000 by pressing R+Y on the Gamepad. The only difference in my item hack is that I added some conditions at the beginning, but I'm guessing that's not what is making only the first button trigger work. Somebody knows how to handle this?

I'm willing to release my code for changing items when it's ready and unless people don't want me to.

I don't have a usable solution for you but I guess you'd have 2 ways to go about it, depending on whether you use Loadiine or the game disc.

Basically you want to change the behavior of the audio files found in vol/content/audio/driver which contains the race voices of the Miis (there are 8 .bars files there in total). If you use loadiine, try and rename those files so that the game won't find them, but chances are it will freeze the game if it's looking for files that are not to be found. A more clever way would be to extract the audio file from every .bars archive, convert it, edit it (in your case, you would delete the content of the track), and pack it back in a .bars archive. This way the sound file the game will look for would be valid but wouldn't contain any sound.

And if you use the game disc, replace the files by using the Cafiine server. That being said, I tried to swap the voices of regular characters with DLC characters before, but it would freeze the game, so even what I just told you may not work at all.

As for transparent helmets, I think the only thing you could possibly be do is a texture hack. This involves extracting the graphics for Mii drivers, making them transparent, repacking them and replacing the files.

Good luck with that!

There's only the first one being used because you built up an AND condition. The second parameter will only be active if both conditions are true.
Simply add D0000000 DEADCAFE after the first speed code:

Here are the codes I ported. I confirmed the player 1 codes work (No damage taken, Max Special, Max Magic), but I didn't check either of the kills codes or the player 2 ones. Also, as @BullyWiiPlaza said, you don't have to babysit these with the new loader. Just make sure your computer doesn't go to sleep, and you can go all the way back to the main menu if you want and they won't stop working. I'll glady "convert" the ones for Max Special and Max Magic for Player 2 if anyone wants. I'm not sure I ever saw them here, though. I think @Onion_Knight mentioned he used them with his son, so maybe he has the player 2 offsets?

Damage Taken Player 1 (for "No damage taken" rank)
00020000 10705D5C
00000000 00000000

Damage Taken Player 2 (for "No damage taken" rank)
00020000 10705F84
00000000 00000000

Kills Made Player 1
00020000 10705D60
00000000 00000000

Kills Made Player 2
00020000 10705F88
00000000 00000000

Note: Player 1 and 2 stats for damage taken and kills made are calculated together for goals.
Max Special
00020000 10705DDC
03030000 00000000

Max Magic
00020000 10705DEC
01010000 00000000

Would anyone happen to have the inf magic code for player 2 in jgecko format?Mostly for my kid?Any help is much appreciated.

I could try taking a look. It shouldn't be too hard to find. Did you look at the offsets for the other P2 codes and try looking around there?

I tried but anything i tried freezes the game. You might know what your doing alot more than i do.I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm guessing by the way they're laid out, it's gonna be 10706004 for special and 10706014 for magic. I'm guessing that because the offset from P1 No Damage Taken to Max Special is to add 0x80. So I added 0x80 to P2 No Damage Taken as a guess.

Huh. That was easier than I thought. If I wasn't about to try the infinite bomb arrows glitch in TP HD I'd test the addresses myself.

PS: It sounds silly, but is there actually a second player in the game when you're testing these? I only ask because I once forgot to change my cheats.txt when using @Onion_Knight's loader and ended up freezing Hyrule Warriors by injecting Splatoon cheats.
