No super easy, bought mine one eBay a few months ago... If you get a white one, new and sealed in the box it's guaranteed to be under 5.3.2... Then update to 5.3.2 with splatoon

At just one used video game store alone where I live, and there are a bunch more stores like it, they probably have similar stuff, I found THREE Wii Us, one has the very first release firmware, and the other two are both below 5.5, we didn't have the gamepad hooked up to those, so not sure of the exact version, but they each had the TVii icon, and he said he has had them both for at least 6 months. He said to call back, he'd find out the exact versions on them, but after reconsidering the cost, I haven't done it yet. It's just not worth $200, when I have an exploitable Wii U already, it just isn't public yet, nor do I want the private one, even if offered, just because I don't want the responsibility of that in my possession. I'll wait ...

One day I may even finish finding an exploit of my own, it just isn't a priority right now since I've found other things to occupy my time and play around with.
