Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

It does say it was patched in 10.6, where are you looking at?

As of February 24, 2016, the browser-version-check requires that the installed Old3DS browser be on >=v10.6. With New3DS, it only has to be on >=v10.2 currently. To bypass this requirement on Old3DS/New3DS(this bypass is only usable prior to 10.7.0-32 since it's fixed with 10.7.0-32), you can do the following(if you want to know how this works see here):

1. Goto System Settings. Then change the datetime to January 1, 2000, 00:00.
2. Use the browser 'Initialize savedata' option, before any page gets loaded triggering the browser-version message.
3. Continue to use browserhax as normal.
4. Note that you must not press the HOME button to return from the browser normally, otherwise you will have to reinitialize the savedata again. Once the datetime reaches January 2, you will have to repeat these steps if you want to continue using this bypass.

Huh I guess you're right. After looking around, it seems like it really was patched. Kinda conflicting there. Sorry. I thought that by "bypass" it actually meant it could bypass the 10.6 patch, but I guess not? Yellows8 should fix that.

I've got access to OoThax for 10.7 so would I be better off just updating and downgrading with the new method? Assuming it works for 10.7. I've heard the new exploit works better. Also if I do, what's the best tool to backup my nand on 10.7?

If you have Oothax working for 10.7, then just update. It probably will work better anyways. If you haven't gotten cfw access yet, then the only way you can backup 10.7 sysnand is through a hardmod.

My question is that after downgrading, following Plailect's Guide.. using an older Sysupdater... Could I instead use this new one to downgrade to 2.1.0U? or do i need the one that the guide provides?

So i tried downgrading from N3DS 10.7.0.32E 6 Times now even on different SD'cards everytime the downgrade suceeds and after the reboot i get a system error telling me to reboot and forcing me to Factory Reset to 10.7 again.

Any ideas ?

Format your console before attempt to downgrade, it will solve that problem.

well if i do that my digital oot3d is gone right ? which is my entry point :/

I though you had a physical copy, and no, you can't just format and use the same sd content, because the system format will change the signatures.

Edit: You should get a physical copy of OoT to downgrade, because AFAIK the only way to solve softbricks is doing a system format. :/

K so I've got a few files popping in downgrade check and I'm not sure if they're anything important. Someone mind helping with that? The reason I'm asking is because I can't seem to get Menuhax working, but everything else was. Can't figure out of the problem is menuhax or a bad downgrade.

Did u uninstall menuhax and then reinstall it? If not u should try it.
