Just in case this hasn't been fixed yet. The installer isn't working for me. I placed the files on the root of my sd card. Renamed the installer to arm9loaderhax and all i get is my console's blue light turns on and turns off immediately.(As if no sd card or arm9 files could be booted). My console is a N3DS XL it is running on sysnand 9.2.0-20U and the latest emunand on AuReiNand. No idea what's going on, my friend did this successfully apparently....

U delete the old arm9loderhax and use the installer one and rename it to arm9loaderhax, u also need to put the other file in the root. Screen should boot up asking u to press a to install.

What nand.fat16.xorpad, and nand.fat16.0x4.xorpad are for (downgrading to 2.1.0-4U to dump OTP.bin)? Itried to ask in that thread, but seems like people who can answer are offline, so I will ask here now.

Can I skip this if I start fresh with clean SYSNAND then clone SYSNAND to EMUNAND then only back up NAND.bin before unlinking using Tiny Format?

It's only good practice to have them incase you want to decrypt your nand to modify it. You don't need the xorpads for the downgrade :D
