Homebrew TWL Slot-1 Launcher (First custom DSiWare app!)

So I grabbed the original N3DS TLW_FIRM off of 3DNUS (0004013820000102 version 9936) using the info I found on ninupdates for which titleID/version, but when I try to install it now through FBI (on rxmode sysnand -> homebrew launcher FBI) I get

I think you have to delete the Original .cia from the nand before toy install the new one. Thats what i had to do anyway.

FBI did that for me :\ Now the sysnand has no TWL_FIRM at all, which I know because even my fully legit Pokemon Black doesn't open on my sysnand with no patches at all (so when i prevent menuhax from triggering).

Why did you install TWL_FIRM to SysNAND?
There was no reason to do it.

You shouldn't have tried installing the TWL_FIRM patch on your sysNAND. It's only for emuNAND.

You shouldn't even be messing with NAND files in your sysNAND period.

You should try using bigbluemenu to install the cia

Just wild idea but... did you try sysupdater to install the legit TWL?
Only if BBM or Devmenu doesn't work and you really need TWL on sysnand, of course

Use 3DNUS to download the original TWL_FIRM. I just don't remember the version number, etc.

0004013820000102 and 9936... but that's what gets me the error as mentioned :\ I'll try using sysupdater like @Arubaro said now.

Update on my situation:
Got it working again! So I ended up installing BBM and FBI cia's on my sysnand (mainly for BBM but I figured I might as well do FBI as well while I was at it). Once on sig patched sysnand I first tried to install the unpatched TWL_FIRM with FBI, however that gave me a invalid signature error. I then tried with BBM and it worked flawlessly. Finally salvaged twl_firm on my sysnand

Just had to restore an old nandback up to reinstall twl_firm on sysnand to get ds games to work, reinstalled the patched twl on emuannd nothing but black screens on flashcarts and legit ds games.

Would this work with an original R4?

As stated in several other pages, this won't work with any of the OG DS autoboot flashcarts that skipped straight from the Health & Safety notification to the flashcart loading process, like the original R4 or the M3DS Real.
Either get a new flashcart or hope SD-based NDS cartridge emulation will be more than just a fever dream in the future.

i can confirm that red(its blue but its called red because is a clone) ttdsi works perfectly executing the flashcard without the app

Sounds like you are using a CFW that doesn't support TWL mode from emunand. Gateway is one of those. Gateway mode breaks rebooting into AGB/TWL mode correctly, so you can't use this with Gateway unfortunately.

I had this same issue with ReiNand, is it possible to fix?
