Hacking Gateway 3DS 3.7 beta - Latest emunand (10.3) support for New 3DS

Hi guys,

I've never updated my emunand before. Can you help me.

I am on Sysnand 9.0E and Emunand 9.0E.

I put new Gateway 3.7 launcher.dat on internal.

Added wifi settings to sysnand and emunand (just to be sure)

Boot into Gateway mode using Cubic Ninja.

Go into settings, CONFIRM am on GW3D 9.0.0-20E.

Select Other Settings => System Update.

Internet shows full bars. I accept the terms and conditions.

And it shows "Updating..."

And then shows "An error has occured. Unable to update. The system will now be restarted."

I've tried that like 5 to 6 times already.

How do I solve this? Please help

It's probably no, but have you changed your dns settings at all?... Or are they default?

Have you ever added some DNS blocking Nintendo's updating server? Check the wifi settings and make sure DNS is set to auto obtain

sounds like you did everything right sometimes it just wont connect to the internet maybe that is the problem

I had created "FAKE" connections in sysnand and emunand and simply NEVER connected my N3DS to wifi. There was no need for it.

I deleted the first FAKE connection and told it to scan for access points. It then found my wifi connection, I selected it, put the password it, and it gave an error connecting to the internet a few times, but then it connected and saved.

Ok, it gives a "counterfeit card detected" message when I try to use my DSTWO with 3.7 but this message is bypassable by ejecting DSTWO and selecting GW mode separately.
As always, do not use DSTWO with something higher than 3.4.1 if you care about your 3DS

what are you talking about?
a regular DSTWO or a plus?
i use my DSTWO regular non plus with my N3ds sysnand 9.0 and emunand 9.5 no problems
do you have your DSTWO updated to the lastest FW?

I use regular DSTWO that was UPGRADED to DSTWO+ (apparently, there were DSTWO revisions months ago that were actually DSTWO+ with DSTWO's old label)

GW probably had the ability to update N3ds emunand all along
they are smart enough to not overplay their hand and show their cards to N , the devs released stuff so no pint on keeping underwraps anymore since it is public anyways

there was no real need to release it anyways everything was working with crypto fix

Who discovered kernel exploits for 5.0+? Yellows8 (he discovered memchunkhax and firmlaunchax)
Who made homebrew exploits (which GW now has as an entrypoint)? Smea (and possibly others)
10.3 emuNAND support? (not actually sure who figured it out, but it wasn't GW)

NTRcardhax (which they will most likely end up using)? plutoo

So really GW wouldn't be where it is without the community, yet they give nothing back to it other than an expensive product and a dangerous piece of software to use with it...

they may not actually be behind GW but they are definitely paid consultants of sorts

Can anyone tell me what's the size of the 10.3 update? I can use my 3G internet, but it's a pricey internet, and I would rather not do it if the update size is 1 Gb or something.

Oh yeah? Please remind me who gave us the 7.x encryption fix and provided people with a safe method of downgrading their systems (which back then was a requirement for installing CFW for many people) and restoring sysNAND backups?

the funny thing i just put it in my old 3ds xl and my old 3ds and it does not light up at all it only lights up in my N3ds
and i think it only started doing it after i setup menuhax to boot to GW ,i think maybe that it does not do it with ds profile exploit or CN wither on N3ds either

No, it has nothing to do with o3DS vs N3DS or boot method menuhax/MSET/CN/OoT, it's just totally random.

maybe the consoel then maybe only N3ds? it never lights up on my old 3ds or old xl only in my N3ds it lights green usually on boot
