Yeah, there's a new update available, after all. Most probably, this one will finish the TubeIronOoTHax exploit...

Looks like someone at NoA jumped the gun and posted about that update before the right time.

I'm normally one to dodge a bullet, rather than taking one, but I thought "I have this broken O3DS I never use, so why not give it a try for the community?"
The D-Pad's connectors are corroded and constantly thinks that I'm always pressing down, so it's a useless 3DS for things except testing stuff anyways.

You can update without problems. Tested here after updating, IronHax is working normally.

Also, OoTHax works too!
We don't really know if any kernel exploits were patched though. This is why you should stay behind even if people are saying *hax works.
