I have got to say, this is a method I would have not thought of, I'll test this on my 9.x J emNAND when I get my 3DSXL back.

IT DOESN'T WORK ON emuNAND.
I didnt mean emuNAND, force of habit ;-;
I have a 9.4J sysNAND was what I on about.
It requires kernel access, so no more than 9.2.
This is good, however are there any reports of bans from using this method?
Nintendo can't know you used this method.
However, they can patch it with a firmware update (but we can find a new method again, I just guess it will be not as easy as before).
Or if they configure the server differently to check for a new response only a new update for the 3ds has.

We can patch in the RAM eShop to use the new protocol.
It's why I said :
I didn't think anyone had 9.6 NCCH crypto figured out yet.

It this 100% true?
Wait, I'm still a bit confused.
I have a 9.2J sysnand and 9.5J emunand.
Right now I have a backup of my original 8.1J NAND with no NNID, and my N3DS is currently away being hardmodded. I also have a backup of my 9.2J NAND (also with no NNID), but I don't remember if it was made before or after I unlinked it from my 9.5J emunand. What is the best method of getting eShop content over to my emunand? As I understand it, I might be screwed if I made my 9.2J backup after I unlinked? Unless there's a way to get the ticket from the 9.5 emunand flashed to sysnand?
If you grab an update from the jpn e-shop, would it apply to a US version of the game (ssb for example)?
What do you want to do exactly?
Where can I found sysUpdater.cia ?
or
How can I build the sysUpdater cia ?
Well technically Nintendo can find out. Each soap request also sends the eshop client version (and nim version). They just don't check those fields (and of course those fields can also be faked).
