personally i think the best sort of firmware to be on would be 6.x for old3ds/2ds users.....would be good if we could get a 2DS downgrade method, so then everything except the n3DS has a offline solution(actually even the n3ds is offline, but limited to cubic ninja atm).....plus then they have working 6.x save encryption

You know what I really like about this project? Communication. You guys take the time out of your hands to look at the thread and answer most of the questions, while still posting very significant progress!(Unlike a certain flashcart company...) From what I've been reading about KARL3DS, I am no longer cautious about this and I am actually hyped like the old Gatewait ways. I seriously am ecstatic about this project and wish you the best as I think this can potentially (maybe) revolutionize the (N)3DS scene. Developers, I salute you, thank you.

i feel sorry for dev's in general, on twitter, here, anywhere, too many people who don't have anything nice to say on the internet, and then those same people wonder why no dev's want to come near the 3ds scene

Devs gets harassed on twitter and this forum because "They do not support piracy". We all know many people here want to be spoon feed.

Oh god, the spoon feeding is fricken insane in some people. It's more prominent on forums like reddit, but it is everywhere. And those are the same people who never take a minute of their time to say 'thank you'. And the same people who don't even bother reading instructions before deleting system32, and go around asking to be spoonfed on how to fix their 'glitch'.

I don't mind spoon feeding every now and then, I mean, hell, I walked through some dude's installation of his GW cart, emuNAND and all that. But when I spoon feed someone, and he doesn't even bother to say thanks, it makes me livid >

I am not gonna state my stance on the A of KARL3DS but I would much rather if people quit expecting so much from these dudes. Every thing they are doing is above and beyond what they are expected to do, and that is nothing.

Big Red Menu could be used instead as it's a open source project that doesn't use copyrighted code from SDK. But my issue with that program is it doesn't appear to handle installing CIAs to sysnand correctly. (as in, can't install system updates with it)

I'm under the understanding that it won't be able to install unsigned cia's at all? There wouldn't be any reason to include it if that's the case, as any and all homebrew out there that's released is unsigned...unless I'm missing something?

Can we confirm if KARL3DS would be able to launch an Emunand from a different region? (i.e. I have a JPN n3DS, would it be possible to use a NA Emunand?).
I'd prefer English more than Japanese for my system's language, because JP firm doesn't have furigana.

Oh sweet babies yes. This project is literally all I could've ever hoped for. I'm so pumped for it! I can only assume that there'll be a guide for all of this in the end right? And a question to Wolfy, will it need a donor N3DS to be able to do that region changing?
