Gaming So I can choose a free 3DS game download...

And the list is the JP Club Nintendo list.
I'm leaning toward Pilotwings, StarFox, Zelda or Kid Icarus. I'm kinda hesitant about Kid Icarus just because I don't have the 2nd analog pad.
Any advice or thoughts? Thanks

The 2nd analog is useless for Kid Icarus unless you are left handed. The stylus controls are more precise anyway, but you literally can't set it to dual analog. But out of that list, I'd go with Fire Emblem or Kid Icarus. I was kind of hesistant about Fire Emblem myself because I normally don't like RPGs, but it's a fucking fantastic game.

Fire Emblem looks like a game I'd want to own a cart instead of a DL version - but yeah, it looks really good.

kid icarus has aperently loads of content that will keep you busy alot and is a good game id recommend that

If you haven't played Ocarina of Time, do yourself a massive favour and go for that. It's a terrific game and often praised as the greatest game of all time. Myself, I bought the remake on launch day and have not been disappointed. I've probably ran through it 5 times since, adding on 2 extra playthroughs to cover the mirrored Master Quest. Enjoy!

Ocarina of Time is somewhat overrated. It's still a good game that's worth playing and it might have been the best game of all time at the time of release, but it definitely isn't now. IMO Mario 64 has withstood the test of time much better.

Just get kid icarus or fire emblem both are really great games and have alot of content.
If u want a multiplayer game icarus has many Japanese players still playing and is alot of fun with much to unlock.

I suggest Kid Icarus. You get a game with tons of replay value plus online competitive gameplay action. The extra analog is of no use so don't let that hold you back.

I'll get Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem boxed but I'm either gonna get the free DL of StarFox or Pilotwings (as they seem light on content and something good just to keep on the 3DS for short plays).

If you've never played the original Star Fox 64 (Lylat Wars, I think it was called?) that might be the one to get, as it's a pretty good game. If you have played that though, it's basically the same game but with better visuals and stuff, so I'd recommend going for Pilotwings in that case.

I wouldn't pick Pilotwings, since it's basically a tech demo. It looks great, and it is quite fun for a little while, but what it does best is showing off the 3D. I haven't played StarFox, nor Kid Icarus... so I can't say for sure. Zelda is truly amazing though!
But sure, for short plays... Pilotwings is very "pick up and play"-friendly.

It's like mario kart with only racing, no online, it gets really boring. But the starfox never played but it seems nice from what I've seen

There's absolutely no reason to grab Ocarina of Time or Starfox 64 - they're "remakes" of 16-year-old games, you might as well play them on one of the quadrillion other platforms they were released for. Get Fire Emblem or Kid Icarus, both excellent 3DS exclusives from what I'm hearing.

Pilotwings is a hastily glued together tech demo - it's not worth it, better get that boxed since it'll be cheaper than Kid Icarus or Fire Emblem. Mario Tennis on the other hand is entirely acceptable, provided you like the series.

Yeah, but other than that there's Brain Training, Art Academy, the Nintendo Soccer game (that one might actually be good thogh - I honestly have no idea), Nintendogs, something that presumably involves taking photos of things and Monopoly x Magic or whatever that is.

That's true, the selection is meh... which is why everyone's trying to convince him to get the good games out of those offered despite his box plans.
