OP
just wondering can anyone tell me what firmware the console actually comes with, the european version that is ? i have a acekard2i i bought prior to the 4.1 update recently i think, so its about 2 firmwares behind. Im presuming i can update my Acekard without the need of a extra DS console if the acekard is behind a bit right ?
3DS XL comes with 4.1.0-8 in the UK.
I can't remember the exact number, as i updated mine but it was 4.1.
So unless your Acekard is updated to support 4.1, you'll need to upgrade it via another DS console.

Mine came with 3.0 so as other posters have said it appears to be random
How will that make me make a system transfer?Or you could, you know, not update.
That's one of the problems, when going against the manufacturer you need to tread lightly, and they WILL attempt to put you at a disadvantage in an attempt to persuade you to not use flash carts. How will that make me make a system transfer?Or you could, you know, not update.

One of the downsides to using flash carts on the DSi and 3DS is having to wait for updates to the cart... just like you shouldn't update a hacked PS3 the moment a new CFW comes out, same with the 360, etc.
Why do you like the DS Lite D-Pad? It's mushy and eventually you will need to apply a lot of pressure for the console to sense the control.can someone answer me?can you tell me if the D-pad and the abxy buttons are the same quality as the first 3ds?
you know clicky clicky sounds. And note like the dslite quality

According to my friend @chemistryfreak who already got his White 3DS LL, the new D-Pad is a lot better than the regular. It's thicker and easier to press too.
Then good for you! According to him it's as clicky but even easier to press. Why do you like the DS Lite D-Pad?
