Well, can you tell me witch ones (at least the ones you remember) you already found? And where? But did you already opened the 1st Zip file? Because, believe me, you really need to open it, otherwise you're not going to do it by guessworking

Anyway, i'm thinking on doing another quest, i'm just waiting for someone to finish the first one

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier... I actually manged to stumble back to the 'house' (somehow)

Anyway, I can't tell you EXACTLY where I found them (no co-ords to work with) but, unless you've been VERY sneaky & used 'mixed characters' I'm guessing I'm missing.......

IIRC, I found most of them wandering around.....however the most memorable ones were

• Down a ladder in a 'cave'
• Behind a door
• '8' was the odd block out - it didn't have the 'swirly pattern'
  - I used it's name to open the first ZIP file , so I know how long the password for the second ZIP is,
  further proof is that the file inside has 'GOOD LUCK!' in the bottom right corner
• In a 'water feature'
  [n.b. not sure but either I counted the same block twice or there's actually 2 blocks in 'water' features

The ones I've found so far are (if you're clever you'll know how to see the list)

0 - ????, 1 - 'Red', 2 - 'Yellow', 3 - 'Light Green', 4 - 'Purple', 5 - ???? , 6 - 'Orange', 7 - 'White', 8 - 'Sand', 9 - 'Pink'
Proof I [finally] got back to the house -

- You can see the eight blocks I've found so far
(the 'odd block' you can just see the edge of it on the right)

BTW - one of the blocks I'm 'missing' ['5'/'0'] hasn't the same pattern as the others (based on the file inside 'pass1.zip') & could easily be mistaken for the 'different' block
- was this a mistake ?? & since I have most of the password & the order along with what I guess the other 2 missing ones are - it shouldn't be THAT difficult to crack the password to 'pass2.zip'....
.... but I won't - it'll spoil the game

1- Well, if you already opened the 1st zip file, you now know how the password is, however, you'll ony be able to discover the pass when you have 9 blocks (and then you can guess the final block's number).
2- well, there are three blocks inside water. One is in a little "pool", other is in a "waterfall" and another in a "column" of water that comes from above trees.

2- No, it wasn't a mistake, i needed to make more than one block different, but now i know i should have done more than two, that way was too easy

3- Are you sure you can open pass2 with that list of numbers? If i were you, i would think twice

4- I have to play the map to see where the other blocks are....but i'm having big troubles with my DSi, so i guess i'll have to use an emulator.

So, my advice, try to find the other two blocks...i guaranty you it's worth the effort

I played real minecraft alot and when I read that ds has a minecraft homebrew, I kinda got blown away

Thanks for the game OP!

However... I've ran into a few problems. The main problem is that I cant get this miencraft to work

I got the nitro version to launch, but when I go to options menu and try to change controls, it crashes.

So when I try the fat version... I cant even launch the dscraft. As soon as I launch it, I get a red screen of death error with the following message:
"Guru Modification Error! Undefined Instructions" and a bunch of numbers.

Any idea how to fix it? Im using a dstwo supercard 2 cart and ds lite.

Try placing the dscraft folder in the same directory as your dscraft.nds file to get the FAT version to work. Not sure why it would crash in the options though.

@Bmcs : remember that freeze when you press start ? Do you still have that ? If so, do you have it when using all texture packs ? If you're not sure, can you try with like eldpack, jolipacl et xaiwaker and let me know ? thanks.

Well, no, with eldpack that doesn't happen.

@smealum i have teh same problem and i can help too, but i think i figured out how to bypass the problem, before loading a map select another texture pack (you can even press the same texture again) and theres no start bug

Actually it's a "famous" error on the DSi as well as in the DSiXL, but now (i think) everything is ok.

So, i was thinking and i decided to make a different thing, how about if i do this: mark every block with a high column? That way you can found all the blocks just by walking above trees and finding the columns. Or you prefer the map?

Great work on this homebrew, makes really fun and I'm sure it was damn hard to create, but I'll continue to play the real minecraft

It's some very good alternative for everyone who dont own the real minecraft.

On any flash cart bot the iEvo, you don't have access to the 3DS's increased processing.

@bmcs i think its better with a map because atm its kind a hard to know where you are without a coordinates system, and do you still have the map before converting?

Hi all.

Ima back after 15-20 pages by the looks of things.

I'm currently completely submerged in school work at the moment, I had about 30 mins of free time this evening, so I felt I might as well post here.

Firstly, It is good to see Smealum taking a break. He did earn it well, and I hope he surprises us with the creeper release or something when he comes back

Secondly, DSCraftHQ.com IS in development. I am still working hard on the database system, but I'm knee deep in homework these days. I got my head around the code for adding data, and how it stores it. Now I just need to make the logins secure and all the fancy features. I have also asked Bmcs to help me keep it up to date, which means when there is a new release, it should be updated on DSCraftHQ sooner aswell.

Lastly, @Bmcs and fans of his map: If you go to login to the dscraft irc, you can change the channel name to maybe #dsc_forest and chat about the map there

Just an idea, but seeing all these @Bmcs comments, maybe it would be handier too.
