This is my only opinion, but i need write this for a better changes. And my future from my favorite hobby.
I have think for months about this question:
"Should sell my consoles to buy a great notebook gamer?"
So basically the tecnology is too fast, but i can't imagine to say before 10 years ago " the next buy a cellphone, have to almost run WII". And for me the day is here!. I can believe to play Wii in My cellphone!!! (In the future Buy again but minimun can run switch consoles) logic need more money and surprise than Android run switch and viceversa.
The last week i buy a new Smartphone, of course have all: ram, memory, proccessor, most important a good price, like a computer.
In YouTube have many videos about comparison and evolution of, in emulators and consoles.
The question is: What the point of this?
I have many consoles of nintendo consoles and PS mini, but i can't play for two word: TIME and MONEY!
Jobs and future projects of my life, have a high priority, when i say: "is friday, so... play videogames and first when i go to home is... SLEEP!!!
CHIPPY!!! HOW CAN SLEEP OVER 17 HOURS!!???
When You have a Job, is very hard to take a return to play videogames (My favorite hobby) howered i need rest to continue the next week.
The other reason is too hard to find, and pandemic prices.
The Pricecharting: is a page to take a price base to sell videogames, is perfect view to cost a Game, manual, complete in box, etc. Is easy if you live in access country (like a usa) but when you live in another country (like me in chile) is too hard find and price are more expensive. Add pay taxes shipping and money converter. Is surprise view in facebook sell videogames most expensive incluse if the game are repro
Example: pokemon soul silver CIB (all in repro, incluse a used pokewalker) sell to $250 when the price is: $150 (all original)
If i can remember in 10 years ago, no have problem to play videogames in emulators, but the actual gamers can angry if you play in emulators.
My conclusion: the time is too fast than can imagine, the tecnology has been evolution, for logic the scene and emulations are most efficient that original consoles: High resolution, compatibility controllers, online server, connectivity and more options. Netplay is a better example for games that no have a online play for example: project slippy for smash melee or Sonic riders re-gravity (Zero Gravity) a point that are no need more to Buy consoles.
The extra other point is: i am obsolete, i can't play online anymore. Prepare to next generations of videogamers.
