R.I.P Rosie

Well. I dunno what to say, but my pet dog of 8 years passed away today, and we are all shocked.

She woke up normally, but suffered a large stroke, and the vets said its only fair to put her to sleep.

Well, we are all gutted, she was our only pet, and a good one at that.

If you like a pet the way you should, it becomes a family member.
However, they only have a life expectation of maximum 10 - 14 years, and like with people, some go earlier.
As the vet said, you shouldn't make it suffer, just because you love it.
There is no need to feel regretfull about the descisions that were taken.
I hope you get over your loss soon, and find yourself a new little puppy dog. It won't be the same, I know.

You have my sympathy.

yeah losing pets is a shame... when i moved to my new home i had to give up my cats... i felt so sad. at least they did not die when i moved but gave them to someone else.

Aww, sorry for your loss=(
I had an irish setter named Rose when i was younger. What an awesome dog she was..sigh.

I grew up surrounded with pets, although I always connected more with my cats (had one that was my age and died when soon after becoming 18), it's painful when an animal you care about disapears from your life, your house will feel more empty and outta place... Well... It's though. >.<

I live around a lot of animals (though not cats or dogs). And whenever one of them dies, I'm always sad whether it's a hamster, chinchilla, or rat. It's always sad.
