naive male protagonists

ahhhh. i don't like it. Deadman Wonderland, Maken-Ki, i forgot others. sometimes i get pissed off.

i end up hating that kind of main protagonists. yeah sure they have a lot of potential, but if it weren't for the supporting characters and fate, they won't be where they are. tch! such pitiful characters.

not only those but some characters in Shiki anime too, not naive but fail to understand the other side. good thing some of those characters i hate died but one survived.

however, i do understand they're supposed to be like that. because they don't know what the audience knows. characters follow the path of what the are supposed to know, but the audience knows what really happened if it was shown.
so the audience end up saying "no no don't do that, don't kil her/him", "stupid you should kill him, he killed your brother, the enemy is in front of you" and things like that. my brothers and sisters do that most of the time with drama shows. they hate the antagonist.

me? i hate being in their situation. you see, since i was a kid i have a habit of breaking down my toys. learning how they work, try to add something new. exploring it's limits. similar to dissecting a human body. but, i don't only dissect toys, i also try to look at a situation from different angles and break them down where what a simple act will do and try to patch them up again and observe the domino effect of events and there i will understand why a person become like that. so sometimes i understand why a villain, become a villain. but this is also an effect of knowing what the audience knows that the character doesn't. but what i feel isn't hate, it's pity. and my hatred will go to the characters that fail to understand since they didn't know. this is one of the situation i don't want to be in. the burden of knowing. but also i have great curiosity, it's such a pain.

also:
i don't believe anything is born evil. there is no evil. it is simply an act which humans rejected. but it is not evil. it is rejected. in primitive times killing might be normal. the pain caused by having an ally die bred vengeance, and so to avoid those pain, rules were made. but death isn't the only reason for vengeance, it's just an example.

in the anime, when the townspeople, specially doctor tashio rejected the idea that they are merely superior species that needs human blood to eat. i know it is right for the townspeople to defend themselves but they didn't even thought about understanding their enemy's nature. they only thought that they just need to erase them all since they thought it was evil. but like humans eating animals, they too just need to survive. even mad dogs need to survive. however, unlike mad dogs, some of them are still sane. had they compromised and set rules, bloodshed would have been avoided. but restraining both sides is not easy, and killing is the easiest and fastest way out.
they were blinded by hatred. sure they hate the shiki. but what would a human do if he's in a deserted island and sees a wild dog. sure, "man's best friend". but that "man's best friend" can also be called food. they just refuse to see since they cling too much to the so-called "morals".
however morals and rules are also important for humans. it is needed to keep us packed together.
we just got too comfortable at our position in the food chain that we forgot, it is natural for something better than us to hunt us.
that there is really no right or wrong in the law of the universe. humans made that law. using a religion.

yeah killing is evil, according to humans. but as far as other organisms are concerned, they need to do it for food.
humans are farm worse from any other predator. we bred animals just for food, other organisms just hunt them.

*sigh*

i should end my sermon here, i got too much worked up from an anime. gotta check myself from time to time.

97% of male harem protagonists are like this. This is the reason I like guys like Leicester Maycraft, he doesn't have all the crap the rest do and deserves all the attention from his harem.

hmm, i only recognize goku, i haven't readand watch that much yet.

@hop2089 and joe88, i'm not against their uselessness. it's their failure to understand what needs to be understood, thinking they are doing the "right" thing. to-LOVE-ru is okay since it doesn't involve....ah i don't know what to call the situation...

oh and hop, since you think that way about Leicester Maycraft, i'll think i'll give Shukufuku no Campanella a try.

I recommend reading the VN or the manga (which is short, only 3 vols) before the anime due to an important element of story left out of the anime which the name of the anime states. The OVA is a must watch, end of story.

Can you guys help with my problem concerning my Switch?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Did you switch it up
  • B @ BigArnold:
    Switch what up?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Switch the switch to resolve your issue
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigArnold, sorry but i cant, i dont have a switch. also what k3nv2 says is a joke
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's what I figured. I put a post up in a forum but no one seems to replying to posts there. I also don't what this chat is attached to.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    General chat as it implies
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigArnold, try posting in the "switch noob paradise" thread
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's where I put it. But like I said other people's posts from a day or two ago have no responses. I'm not sure if the chat is part of the Nintendo forum that I'm on or a part of the website as a whole.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigArnold, part of the website as a whole
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    then try making a thread
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
wait you are too new to be able to do that
  • B @ BigArnold:
That's fine. I'll find my way.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@BigArnold you put the fusee or hekate.bin in the hekate/ payloads folder, or use app to push the payload to switch while its in rcm mode
    +1
  • B @ BigArnold:
The problem is is that TegraGUI isn't detecting my Switch despite it being plugged in and in RCM or maintenance mode.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Did you click install driver inside the tegra app.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I did all of that stuff and it seemed successful but still nothing. The only thing different from the guide I used was that my device wasn't showing up as APX but rather Nintendo Switch.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I did it inside the Tegra app and Zadig.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Try a different USB c cable, or different USB port on your pc.
  • B @ BigArnold:
I tried a different port and don't have another cable. I'm fairly certain there's no issue with the equipment I'm using.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Some cheap USB c cables don't send data, they only charge
  • B @ BigArnold:
The cable is usually used to connect my controller to my switch's dock.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Only other thing Id suggest is using a phone/tablet and use the Rekato app, or different pc
  • B @ BigArnold:
    Okay then.
    Thanks for your help.
