Advertising & Requests

Members are not allowed to create topics or posts intended only to promote or advertise their own or any website(s) without staff permission. If permission is given members are required to provide the name of the staff member who allowed the advert in their post.

As long as the advert is non-obtrusive and does not contain links to warez of any kind, members may link to their own website, forum, or venture in their signature and profile ONLY.

Begging in the forums for anything is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: asking users to visit a website for the member to gain points/etc, begging to become a staff member, torrent invite, translation, and dump requests, and especially pyramid schemes; where you are asking members to help you out by registering places, visiting certain websites, etc.
although I dunno if this applies in the blog section..

i doubt it does tj, i mean the guy seems that he is really happy that he has his site up and running and he's sharing it with others.

Unlike many others who make a new user (name that user the name of the site), make a new TOPIC WITH CAPS LOCK ON FOR NO APPARENT REASON, and then they never reply back.

SO yeah i don't think the rule applies.

P.S Great Site :yay:

I think that applies more towards the advertisement bots who come here and post a bunch of random topics for things like porn or WoW power leveling. If you're just some dude who wants to show off their non-profit, personal site it should be fine. He's not trying to sell you anything, just a friendly invitation.

Yes, we tend to be more lenient on members who have been active on the forum for a good period of time (rather then those who have joined simply to promote a site, or haven't participated in much forum activity).

Provided that the OP doesn't spam his site (i.e. bumping the thread or posting pointless replies) or hasn't posted a link that includes content which breaks one of our rules (e.g. porn, roms etc.) I have no issues with it.
