Liberal America

What's happened to Liberal America? More people are voting Republican, yet all they get is anti-abortion, anti-gay bills. No jobs. I can't understand the South, most of them are poor but they hate government, yet they love Social Security and Food Stamps. Why are people so stupid?
Yes really. Guild is using a WHAT IF SCENARIO, as in WHAT IF THIS HAPPENDED. You can't even comprehend a WHAT IF SCENARIO then you shouldn't be allowed to bitch about things that you obviously don't understand.
Of course, I can comprehend a scenario but Guild never factored in other things that would be important to an answer. And yes I do understand them speaking as a person who understands welfare quite well. The difference is I'm grateful for it and don't bitch about the government saying that it shouldn't exist, yet still taking it. That's what I'm bitching about in the first place.

It's nice to be able to delete comments made by idiots who don't understand government.

Not really, Guild derailed the blog. My blog was about the recent anti-abortion legislature and anti-gay bills coming out of state legislature and wondering why people vote against their economic interest yet still use the thing they hate.

Because Republicans believe that the programs does not help as much as the free market would do.
Consider this: You're handed a 100 dollars, and are going to spend them on yourself.
You will search for the best quality product you can get for those 100 dollars.
Now consider you should spend the money on someone else.
You won't search for the highest quality product, but rather go with something cheap (making quantity you'r main concern).
But your example is concerning partisanship.
Example: Most republicans supported the Iraq war, because the republican front supported it, and
because its ''political correct'', and they continue to support it, because an republican ordered it.

Huh???? Still is that a reason for trans vaginal ultrasounds? Or lying to a woman and telling her she's not pregnant?

While there are many, many, many things wrong with your argument (as Guild has been pointing out), this stuck out to me...

What "Liberal America"? The United States has never been a liberal nation. To say otherwise is a sign of ignorance or self-delusion.

Also, you're saying that the poor are stupid for placing their morals and values above their suffering? By that logic, someone like Mahatma Gandhi would be the King of the Idiots!

Of course not, I meant as in the masses voting for right wing candidates who promise job then give anti abortion bills. Of course not, I think they stupid for saying that they don't like government in their life or that there is no government in their life, yet they use social security, medicaid, medicare, food stamps, FAFSA, etc. That they would prefer no government intervention, and still expect to have these programs. It's especially prominent in the Deep South.

You know, you ask us all what happened to Liberal America, but delete the comments people make about what they think.

You want everyone to listen to you cry, but don't want to hear what they have to say. This blog is pointless.

And FYI, I live in the South and have never supported a Republican.

No I deleted soimeone calling me a 'Fucking Idiot' as he gave no basis, did not share any of his beliefs. I will not have stupid posts, and as you can see I keep the vast majority 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of posts that disagree with me, so please do not make accusations if you can not back them up. It is just rude and ignorant, wonderful I'm glad you have never voted Republican. Guess what 43% of Mississippi voted for Obama in 2008.But see it didn't go to him because 56% did. Thus meaning a majority. You might wonder why I bring up Mississippi, it is one of the top two, if not the most conservative state.

I believe this entire blog is a good basis for that statement.

You're entitled to your opinion Hells Malice, but my opinion is that you are rude, and have no comprehension of American politics. And also have nothing to offer to the discussion.

I'm very rude when someone deserves it. I'm the first to admit that. Never been a fan of sugar coating my posts.
Also based on this blog (again) i'd say i've got a better grasp on american politics than you. Though there's 2 reason i'd rather take cheap shots at you instead.
1: It's a lot more entertaining.
2: Guild pretty much beat the debatable shit out of you already. There's not much else left to discuss, especially since you're one of those people that will literally cover his ears and say "lalala I can't hear you, i'm right you're wrong lalalala"
As awesome and fun as it is to debate with a brick wall, no thanks.

I doubt it. You probably think you do because you can name all 50 states. I take that as a complement from a troll like you. And again that's your opinion. And if you keep making useless comments that are rude I'll delete them. If you want to argue about the topic that's fine, if not leave.

50 states? God no i'd be lucky to name 20.
Though really naming all 50 states doesn't have much to do with the topic, hm? Even knowing where every state stood as a majority isn't that relevant.

By the way if you wanna cry about me being rude, you really shouldn't model your posts after me, huh? Throwing an insult at me is pretty rude of you man.

I'll give you that. Can you even name 10 Senators, 10 members of the House of Representatives?

I don't understand why people would be arguing with the original post at all. What part is false ? Are you guys just a bunch of anti-choice anti-pill bible thumpers ? You repubs love bank bailouts but hate auto bailouts. Funny how the banks are STILL practicing their foul techniques, while the auto industry is making record profits. You anti-choice corporate welfare queens aughta step up to the plate and quit giving BP billions in subsidies like Obama is proposing. http://www.theboston...147/detail.html

Again, though, the Republican candidates receive a lot of support because of both their economic and social policies; many of those people support those anti-abortion (and other, similar) bills. It's not like they're getting duped. They know exactly what they are voting for (their conscience) with each candidate.

It's people like smile and yuyuyup that make me dread becoming of age to vote. Insulting either political party is just...it's just retarded. Calling someone stupid for having moral values is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my entirety of existence. Also, generalizing that the south are the most prominent "stupid" people is just ridiculous. I'll admit I think they're pretty damn dumb, but that's not because of their political beliefs.

In fact, calling anyone dumb based on their political beliefs is just the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard.
