So this weekend I've been sat here dealing with idiots on a penpal app ( I really don't know why I bother anymore - and the apocalypse for the app is coming - They are launching a Web-app version, they can't even get the fucking basics right let alone opening it to a deluge ... but I digress) And looking back through a couple of folders containing notes for a novel I started out writing when I was 16. I have an estimated 55,000 pages of notes. Yes, that's right fifty-five THOUSAND pages of notes containing characters details, place details and layouts, events, how magic works, how magic and technology can be used together - In essence, anything I could do to de-rail myself from actually writing. Bad news is it took 10 years to originally write and you can see where distinct points where I have stopped writing and come back months later and my writing style had changed. I know that's the reason for drafts for stuff like that but there is a lot in there that just doesn't work. The good news is that it can be fixed, sort of. Its biggest problem is the first 1/3 is pretty much set up and it drags its arse. But the plan is to go back and fuck with the timeline of events a little to reframe everything - But all this is a while away and I've just added some more notes on my ideas for now. I actually have another novel to finish before I should even be starting to think about all of this :/
Trying to think of anything else even remotely interesting that has happened this month - Other than my PS4 needing to be cleaned as it sounds like a fighter jet taking off. I've got Tales of Arise coming this week but I'm pretty sure that Amazon will fuck it up like they usually do, so it will probably be next week :'( needless to say, Bandi Namco will continue making you pay for costumes that they used to give away for free oh well.
Circling back to the pen pal app I did end up making a video in about 10 minutes explaining very passive-aggressively that they are infact Guinea pigs and not animal X - but they don't seem to understand the level of sarcasm on display and I've actually ended up +1 sub and a comment saying how nice it was - I didn't expect this.
