About two weeks ago I started a book. Actually a .pdf file, but that doesn't matter. Its called 'Learning python the hard way' I'm learning a lot. I've begun exercise 35 I think, It tells me to make a game similar to the one from the previous chapter. I decided to make a prison escape game, motivated by my recent viewing of the film "Shaw shank redemption".
Long story short, its going poorly.
The story line sucks (Storyline, what storyline?), the map needs work, the way you navigate is poor, and is a pain to code. I'm having problems keeping variables global, which I fixed.
Anyways, its a work in progress, The more I practice the better I get I guess.I have 3 or 4 more rooms to add, then I need to add more detail to the rooms, and try to make it easier to navigate. It should be done in about 5 days. I plan to upload it to filetrip if that is allowed, but only if someone would be interested in playing it. It will be a zip file with the python script (my messy code), and I will also compile it with py2exe for those who don't have python.
Wish me luck
