Graduation and Future plans

Graduation

I just took the stage and was conferred my Associates Degree in Applied Science with emphasis on Electronic Technology which is a relief since, I had a terrible experience with College Algebra, having to take it over 3 times since I had no higher math in High School, although I did graduate on time. I also transferred some credits from a previous university since I took some classes there while I was in Trade School for my Bachelor's Degree which means I only have a year + an experience activity until I get my Bachelor's. I had cake, BBQ, and some Mongolian BBQ afterward, which was very good with a ton of cash in my graduation cards.

Summer Gaming

I'll be busy on my DS and PS3 this Summer, however my Wii has been gathering dust since last year and with Final Fantasy IV: The After Years being released I expect some gameplay on the Wii. Since I have 700 bucks more in graduation money, I want the following games which are coming out in the summer:

Black Sigil
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Trinity Universe
Love Plus
Cross Edge
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
Dragon Quest Dsiware

Experience Activity

My school requires me to complete one Experience Activity that would teach life skills or explore another culture intellectually. These are the choices:

Leadership
Study Abroad
Community Service
Scholarly Activity (Basically Art)

Leadership cannot be done by me because you must have a 3.5 GPA and recommendation by two references in the community which I have neither, and I have a 3.2 GPA. I don't like their community service programs since they phased out all projects in the US completely and replaced them with projects in very dangerous Central and South American countries. I really wanted to help out in New Orleans too.

Should I choose the following: Study Abroad or Scholarly Activity

If you recommend Study Abroad here are the choice countries:

Thailand
Taiwan
China
Japan
France
Italy

If you have any other recommendations please post them.

Overall, my life has been good, and despite the reoccurring math trouble, everything turned out better than expected.

I'm in China now and, well, let's just say that they don't speak english at all. Well some students speak it but they're usually really bad.
So unless you specifically go to an english university OR you already somehow speak Chinese, you'll be having issues with the language.
It is otherwise a fantastic country and I'm god damn happy here with my friends and my girlfriend and my job and all :)
Internet to europe & america a little slow but meh.

In France I know for sure (cause it's where I'm from) that most people speak english. Students are usually pretty good at it, they can keep up conversations. So it could be a good option. I've been to Italy and I speak italian but I don't know how well they'll speak english. Probably same as french people I'm guessing.
France is a good place to be, culturally speaking there's a lot of good stuff to see there, but it's getting expensive lately. If you're wealthy you'll have a decent place but if you don't have much money you'll end up in crappy insecure suburb areas.
I don't know about the other countries.

Ugh... math... I feel your pain.

I'm in a precalculus course, and so far it's brought my gpa down to a 3.0. Doesn't help that my teacher goes 500 MPH then doesn't help you out

anyway, a saying I've heard is that "Japan is best viewed from afar". Seriously, as cool as Japan is, the actual people are weird. In Tokyo, every other person has neon-colored hair, and if you wander into a Manga shop, be warned: Most shops sell some sort of hardcore Hentai. GAY HENTAI

I had a friend who told me all this, then researched it online and found out it was all true.

How about Italy, so you can hop over to Germany and drive the Autobahn? No speed limits! w00t!

Nope, here only a few speak English.
Students usually are not really good at it because they think it's useless (so the english classes are really easy if you know it) but maybe they can understand you if you speak slooooooowly, but most of the older people don't know a word of it.

The other day i was at MediaWorld and I heard two guys (like 22-23 yrs old) speaking about if "White" means "Bianco" (that is White in Italian), and they weren't sure at all. -_-

P.S. As you can see neither my English is perfect, and I had high marks in it. XD

I've read Yaoi and Yuri, it's not that bad, and I have already been to Japan, but never studied there, and I want to travel there before I get out of college for good. I'm also a fan of Harajuku Fashion so nothing really freaks me out, save for torture and other cruel acts on lolis in anime/manga/games. Italy is good but unlike every other choice I posted, there would be a slight language problem. Mandarin Chinese and English are spoken in my household and the young people speak it including me so a language barrier wouldn't be a problem if I went to China or anywhere else in Southeast Asia since there are always places where Chinese is spoken.

I don't speak Italian, however I can get Rosetta Stone to fix that and I would be able to take a 4 week summer program and I really want to drive on the Autobahn in my spare time.
