waitwut English 9?! :wtf:

I'm not sure what kind of system your district has, but my district's high school English only goes from English 2~6 (English 6 being an AP class). Or is that supposed to mean 9th grade English?

btw, I hate English; it was the only class that I had lower than a 96 last year. :tpi:

Also, the reason for art and wood being low is that I never took them before. Especially wood <_<

Oh, good. You had me worried, some things schools are cutting these days are ridiculous.

In the US, 9th grade is considered High School?

Here in Toronto, Canada, 9th grade is still considered Middle School.

Actually in all of North America (that I know of) it varies.
Some districts don't have middle schools. I've never even seen a middleschool before.
Same for the US.

K-4 is Elementary

5-8 is Middle

9-12 is High

At least, where I live.

Certain schools may have different grad eleevls in it, like, the charter academy we went to had grades K-8, but 6th-8th was middle school, in the "middle school" hall. Some places have seperate middles schools, I'm in a middle school with only 7th+8th graders, but a school I went to in Georgia had 6th-8th graders in the middle school.
Anyways, I believe here in Michigan:

K-5 is Elementary

6-8 is Middle

9-12 is High.

Actually, I'm also in Michigan but have a 4-4-4 system (1-4 in Elementary, 5-8 in Middle, and 9-12 in High).

I guess it varies per district rather than state (but the material that's being taught doesn't change per grade).
All in all, America's school system is totally messed up. :P

"Just the usually grades"
English 96%

I guess you were marked off 4 points for adverb usage, but were perfect in everything else. :P Congrats.

@above: Where I live it's K-6 for elementary, 7-9 for Jr high, and 10-12 for Sr high. But since my school's a K-12 school that doesn't fit in a single building, we're forced to separate to K-4 elementary. And 9 counts as Sr high at my school to allow the Grade 10 courses being available to them (although that forces their schedule to make their Grade 9 courses by semester instead of throughout the year like normal schools).

So, in a nutshell:
Normal=K-6, then 7-9, then 10-12
My school=K-4, then 5-8, then 9-12

Also, on another note, I hate English class. You're practically just being marked on whether your teacher agrees with your writing style or not.
