So having bought my two kids (I'm sure I've mentioned in other threads) a 3DS each I was loving playing 'Pilot Wings Resort' and also 'Zelda OoT 3D' on their machines.

Well, yes it could actually and it did!
My wife and I took ourselves and the two kids on holiday to a family orientated hotel in Can'Picafort Majorca in the Spanish Balearic islands.
As it was a family targeted hotel there was inevitably a multitude of kids all sitting at night during the Bingo and entertainment playing their DS's whilst the adults got on with what we do best on holiday, relaxing and forgetting the pressures of every day normal life. The majority of kids with DS's I noticed had DSLites and many had DSi's and a few had XL's. Well, I have to admit, I never noticed any other kids with 3DS's and it made me feel like a right smug get.
I felt proud of my uber elite kids and their ultra modern hand-held consoles LOL
TBH when they were sat at night in the outdoor bar area whilst me and my wife enjoyed a game of Bingo the interest from other kids passing by our table was immense. We would often have our attention grabbed by the sounds of 'oooo' and 'ahhhs' as passing kids noticed there was other kids (mines *smug*) with 3DS's. They all couldn't wait to see them. Many were disappointed as most of the time it was Pokemon B&W variants my kids were playing. But none the less the 3DS's stil lcreated a buzz.
Now that all sounds petty and silly doesn't it ?
You're right it is. I'm such a sado.
But that's not the icing on the cake.
The icing on the cake was double frosted and chocolate dusted when compared to the following......
The hotel reception had free wireless net access.
Brilliant!
I sat and browsed the net for all my usual haunts on the 3DS's and kept up to date with my own forums, email etc. Why would this make me smug you may ask ? (apart from the fact I'm an obvious big head).
Because I couldn't help but smirk at the gangs of iPad users sitting browsing at the same time and simply not having any richer a net experience as me with their non flash capability !
Hehe, I couldn't help but feel smug and glad I got the 3DS's
Yeah I know, WTF ? I'm pissed but there you go, a little alternative positive side to owning a 3DS's !
