...long time no blog. While I'm logged in (see the Shitake thread in the eof as for why), I figured I'd give you guys a head's up with my life, since I know you all love it OH SO MUCH. (even though you've seen me on that horrid and terrible podcast that Terminator02 does....)

For those that don't know, I was accepted into my uni. I'm moving in less than a month :O! Quitting my job...in about two weeks. Can't wait! In fact, I was supposed to quit like...today....but my manager requested that I stay until the end of the month because that's when the new guy can start, and being the nice guy I am, I said OK.

....everything else is the same, to be honest. My life is still a pile of work. Playing Tales of Innocence. Waiting for Solatorobo. I love Other M. Planning to import Xenoblade.

Oh, nevermind, you fixed it.

Pretty good ending, especially because it dropped all of the cliche, deus ex machina dead weight held by most of the rest of the show, save for 17 and 18 and the beginning of 19. Of course, most of the viewers like that aspect...it's just not my cup of tea...wait, I mean Pepsi, I don't like tea.

Plus, I love the reversion of Gurren Lagaan, it shows a sort of cycle storytelling mostly seen in poems, very unexpected in TTGL.

Yeah, I honestly was never a big fan of Arc or Chouginga Gurren Lagann. I love Tengen Toppa, I love the individual Tengen Toppas, I love Gurren Lagann, I love Gurren, and I love Lagann. Also Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

The other two were just....kinda thrown in, it felt like.

Wait...I just noticed that was Super...sort of. I had heard about the the other series and I knew Super TTGL was one of them, but the ending looked similar to the original so I assumed that's what it was...why is that? What is STTGL exactly?

I just recently after finishing TTGL watched episode 8. AMAZING. You may not expect to hear this from me after all of the negative comments I give about it (though I do think it's a decent show, I could never say it's bad), but
They really did a good job with Kamina's death. I was expecting a really cliche romanticized, noble death that you see in almost every anime ever (except Dragon Ball Z), but man, kudos to them. And in the later episode when the twins die, I love that even all of the passion in the world wasn't enough to save them, and once again their deaths were pretty brutal, I'd say even more brutal. The only death I didn't like was Kittan's. His death and the events leading up to them were...very quick and thrown in. I mean, he suddenly loves Yoko which....is odd, I mean I get that it's supposed to reflect her relationship with Kamina, but all Kittan did was stare at her boobs, and the fact that she likes him as well just comes out of nowhere. Then he...uses the Giga Drill Break, which was...I dunno, I was expecting more. And what was the deal with Bunta? I mean, he transformed into a human (or beastman, I forgot), and that ultimately lead up to literally nothing. He transforms, tries to punch the main villain, and then is whisked out of his dream world by Kamina. Which begs another question, because that was his dream world of sorts, was Bunta really a humanoid at all, or was that just all fiction?
