Well I'm FUCKED!

Well, this morning I just confirmed my switch into Band 9 at school to play bass, and what I didn't know (which I should have) was that I had to be able to read music. Which I can't, other than tab. And I have Band first block tomorrow... which means tonight I have to memorize the Bass Staff and every note on the friggin' neck...

all I can hope for is that I'm playing some easy shit.

I never learned to read it myself.....Pffff, I never used that..

But, I understand that you kinda got into trouble.....What when they find out?! You want be able to memorize it always..

I do wish you luck though!!

i wish there was a tutorial on line. I can't imagine reading a bass line from sheet music is hard. i had to learn for piano (which i promptly forgot after the semester) - and i can only imagine that Bass is even easier.

reading sheet music is tough though compared to tabs.
