No minecraft for me.

My dad was trying to buy the game, but it failed, and know he thinks that they have his credit card number.

I told them you can use paypal, but they said that won't work.

So, I don't know what to do now....

It wouldn't matter, as they said they won't do it again because it's in Sweden.

This. They also have Visa and Mastercard ones, I'd use Visa personally. You gotta pay a 5 dollar or so activation fee up front, and then it's a real credit card that you can only spend $25. So buy one of those, pay for Minecraft, then blow the rest on cheap crap from Dealextreme. Pops doesn't even have to know.

Nono, you don't wanna buy those stupid gift cards, they never seem to work well with online payments.
If you just want paypal, buy a paypal card from a store for $25 or whatever you want.

The moneypak thing is what you want.

Ive used those cards at tons of online shops, not one problem
they work fine and act just like credit cards

Just use PayPal. I, and several Internet and IRL friends have been successful doing it that way. The reason the payment was declined can be either: The bank can't convert USD to Euro OR there wasn't the $21 or so in the bank account at the time.

You have to get your dad to get you Minecraft. Best 10-15 bucks I ever spent.

Can't you temporarily use Paypal, and then de-activate it when done?
I told them it would work on paypal as that would probably work better with changing the euros to usd, though they say it won't work
The bank or your parents? Did the Bank give any reason for the payment being declined exactly?

I use Paypal with my Debit Card all the time. Its entirely safe.

I didn't hear what they said because my dad was the one to pick up the phone, but the most of what I got was someone was trying to get something from our account from Sweden and it got declined.

The prepaid credit cards work better, unless you have issues following directions.
I've used tons and never once had a problem. The only annoyance is having to wait around 24 hours for activation (at least the prepaid visa here require that, dunno about the US). Though, 24 hours is just a safety exaggeration, I always activate them in 12.

In minecrafts case, a paypal card works just as good, but the visa would also work for sites like Amazon. So in the long run it's usually better just to get the prepaid credit card for simplicity sake.

_Chaz_, your reason is the dumbest I've ever heard. You probably haven't even TRIED buying it.
I pirated it because 1, I was new to the game, and 2, they don't accept iDeal.
Just before Beta came I found a solution: my friend, who bought the game, could just buy another copy and give that to me. And that worked very well. I just had to repay him €10,- for the game.

pokefreak2008, ujelly?

You're right, I didn't ever try buying it. Never once did I say that I did.

I pirated it, played it for a few days, hated it, and went on to something else.

To make a succesful international money transfer, you not only require the account number that you use in national transfers, but also an international code called "SWIFT". Each bank in each country has one, before attempting a transfer, you must obtain said number from the person who you're trying to transfer money to, unless the account you're transfering money to is set to be International.

The SWIFT code is usually printed out on your bank statement which you had to sign when you created the account.

If you did not use the SWIFT... Your transfer and your credit card code has been sent to "the void", it will either bounce back or it won't.

Iunno, I had a Visa gift and it wasn't working.
Just ended up paying with my debit card.
