It was above 10 Mbps a few months ago, but then we started having trouble with our connection (Mainly modem problems), so a technician came out and got rid of the modem, and made an ethernet line directly to my router from wherever he did it. It obviously made it worse, which is weird, seeing as less interference (More connections from one main end of the connection, like a cable box, to the other, like a router) is supposed to make it better.
Now I can't brag that my internet is faster than all of my neighbors with Verizon, who love their "high" speeds. Then again, I live in a valley, so everything is worsened.

And I thought that my mates hacked modem was slow
If uTorrent is downloading the speed test will obviously be a huge amount slower than it normally is, if I'd been downing through newsgroups during the test I would have had close to zero Mbit/s as well.
