Wow, I don't remember the anime going like that for the first video. That was much more epic. Are the subs out yet?

Impressions. Could spoil something for you.
Just saw it. Uber-awesome as TTGL is, for the most part. Everything is normal until they get Gurren. After that they "compressed up" almost every non-combat event after Kamina and Simon departure from Ritona. Didn't like that... Oh well, it's a movie, so I guess things HAVE to get cut, to fit.

The thing that left me like "WTF" were the last 30 minutes. They did screwed up almost everything during that time. Always for time restraints, I guess... but something felt up like really strange.

After all, still awesome.

I have the raw, but my computer is being a useless piece of shit not cooperating with my today, so I'm going to have to wait to get BSS's subs this weekend. I've waited this long, I can wait a few more days.

Seen the anime series 3 times, and just finished watching Guren-Hen earlier today. Seeing the anime did make the movie seem weird. The cuts were awkward. Still, THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!! Loved it! I always cry when Kamina dies too.

Here's a thing both Mei-o and I share.

We both watched GL so many times, we lost count. All I know is that I've watched it over the series AT LEAST 20 times.

Heh, I just finished watching it a couple minutes ago.

The pacing was a bit awkward, but that's understandable seeing how they had to squeeze in around 13 episodes in a 2 hour movie. That, and I'm biased towards Gurren Lagann. Overall, it was a bit meh seeing how there was only about 20-30 minutes of new footage, but those 20-30 minutes of new footage was more than enough to get me hooked. Can't wait for Lagann-hen to come out on DVD.

If I ever see the Anti-Spiral fight in true hidef (even though there are high encodes of the anime), I'll probably never leave the house.
