Jesus, did you store your whole game library on your desktop?

No, but I do tend to save a lot of stuff. Plus that WAS where I'd keep roms and ISOs. (In a folder, mind you!)
Once I finish copying everything back to my PC now that it's stable, I'm copying my roms and ISOs to my home server.

So, technically, that was where I'd keep most of my game library, but not PC games. Even then my Steam library ain't that big.

why is your storage medium so slow? I think I've seen flash drives move files faster than that.

Well, there's already one on the inside. Unfortunately I can't tell if the USB ports on my PC are 1.0 or 2.0 (all of them are just black???) plus all I have is my mom's external USB 30 HDD.

Did you consider a fresh install and turning on and off again and if none of these work upgrade to a newer PC?

The whole reason why I'm copying all this is because I already did a fresh install; and as a result the PC has been restarted several times. I'll check the drivers and see what they say. And unfortunately a new PC isn't really an option right now

Yep I forgot about that, it's not fun nowadays because of the accursed chip shortage.
