Wishes of impossible things...

Impossible because if they weren't so, the world would already be a better place. And since humans positioned themselves as the dominant species, the world has become what you can see today.

We can't change the world, all we can do -if needed, and more importantly if we want to- is change ourselves. We shouldn't impose our beliefs and reasoning to other people.

LOL! Never. A huge difference if we tried a little bit ? Surely but look at 1980's which I grew up before you even born. Some people did tried and made a huge difference and I don't see any difference this time. Sorry but It was bad and this time is ever badder and much worse. The future is not bright anymore. No, it is not getting better.

@Seliph You just have to be careful as sometimes that passion to improve society takes a very dark turn. One need only look at some of the many democides of the 20th century to see that; Mao's China comes to mind. The road to hell is truly paved with good intentions. That's not to say that improvements aren't worth pursuing, of course. Certainly, we are only in the comparatively good spot we are BECAUSE of the hard work of many who sought to improve our collective lot. Rather, care must be taken to avoid a future even darker than one's present. In that sense, self-improvement is easier. Less likely to result in mass-murder!

@WiiMiiSwitch, well said boy. You are on the right track. Don't be discouraged by people who are mostly self-centered, arrogant, negative and gregarious (not all, but many). Change must always start with yourself, without looking at what others are doing or their approval. But this requires great courage, determination, autonomy of action and independence of judgment.

Note: I realize now that this is an old post...hehe.
