After 20 years, I quit smoking. Vaping was the answer.

I loved to smoke. It just felt good to inhale that crisp, menthol flavor and exhale all my anxieties away. So it was hard to give it up. But, I randomly bought a Suorin Drop 3 weeks ago, (a small pocket-sized vaping device), and I can't believe it... I have not touched a cigarette in 3 weeks. This is unbelievable for me, coming from smoking a pack or so a day. I still to this day am in shock. I didn't even intend on quitting. I just fell upon the vape and it steered me away. Yes, I still get cravings for a cig, but if I take a quick vape.. the feeling goes away cuz I am mimicking the sensation. It works! I can't believe it, but it really does. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I too smoked menthols for close to 15 years and gave it up for vaping a few years ago. I feel much healthier now, but also that I am far more addicted to nicotine than I ever was with cigarettes.

the menthol flavored juices are my favorite, mint-watermelon and mint-blueberry are great summer vape flavors.
feels a lot nicer on the lungs than smoke too, you can appreciate the mint more. Still gotta keep a good bottle of water with me though, I don't know about you but my vape dries my mouth out like crazy.

It's hardly surprising; it's the nicotine in cigarettes that you're addicted to. And uh, congratulations on "giving up" smoking but you really haven't beaten your addiction; just replaced one source of nicotine with another.

Not quite the same, but I still really enjoy the bong over vape pens when I'm at home. For travel and discrete use, vape is king.

@GalladeGuy He said he quit smoking to be precise, so in that sense everybody's correct.

@Xzi but he makes it sound like some kind of achievement... It's not. At least when you use nicotine patches you break the habit of inhalation, and leave dealing with the chemical addiction to another day. With vaping you still have both the habit *and* the chemical addiction. Nothing has changed other than you're doing a bit less dmagda to yourself.

Okay, shut the fuck up, Smoking and vaping are different, Congratulate them on Switching from Smoking to vaping, vaping might not be good, but It's way better than Smoking.
There are less chemicals in Vaping then there is in Smoking(Maybe not nicotine, but, Nicotine is more or less harmless, it's a depressant, think like caffeine, but opposite)

So Congrats to Op, for getting off Smoking, you might not be off everything, but you took a step in the right direction.

@Pleng "Other than you're doing a bit less damage to yourself." I'd call it significantly less with all the additives in cigarettes beyond nicotine. It'll be a while until we see the long-term studies on vaping vs smoking, but I'm betting nicotine alone is a lot less likely to cause cancer than all those other carcinogens.

Ok, ok... Nobody's questioning the health benefits of switching from cigarettes to vaping. Yes, I understated them by referring it to "a bit less damage". But regardless, I still maintain that there's no actual amazing achievement in maintaining a chemical addiction, and simply switching the method of obtaining that chemical, especially if the new method of obtaining the drug doesn't even go any way towards habit-breaking.

Anyway, I'm probably going to duck out now as all this talk of smoking is reminding me of how much I'd love to be a smoker again.

It's definitely healthier, though at the cost of your dignity. As dirty and disgusting as smoking is, vaping just makes you look so retarded in public. At least, if you're one of those dumbasses that feels the need to envelop themselves in a cloud of stupid.

Don't knock it until you try it, @Hells Malice. Those clouds of stupid are in fact clouds of frickin' awesome! It's the closest thing to having real life super powers. Vapeman comes to puff the day! *puff puff*

To @morrison22 , if you're looking t ween off nicotine, you can taking decreasing stepped dosages of nicotine for your e-juice. You also don't have to give up menthol if you like that cool sensation. E-juice can be made with those, too.

@TurdPooCharger no creating huge clouds is retarded ... i switched from smoking to vaping several years ago and have never looked back. Idiots who create big clouds are the reason why we are now ostracized just as much as smokers just because they wanted to look cool

Congrats but you've bassically replaced one nicotine delivery method with another.... I mean from what's known about it it is safer than smoking but still. Nicotine is in general bad for you. I however know the struggle to quit.... Been nearly a month for me since I quit (and I don't vape) however it took my heart failing to give it up.... So I wouldn't recommend my quitting technique lol. Either way if you want to be truly without Ive heard vaping is a good option as you slowly decrease the nicotine dosage over time til there's no longer any at all in it. After that the vaping just keeps you busy during those cravings without actually giving in to the craving. Either way quitting sure does suck.... So more power to you my friend.

@uiaad, as long as there are people, there will always be some who will hate you and what you do. I mean puffing massive clouds around those who do mind their personal space is a dick move and you totally shouldn't do that, but when done right and to your amusement, making those clouds are fun. I wouldn't worry too much what others think about you. They're the ones who got sticks up their asses.

Personally, I rather take a vaper's cloud to the face than a smoker's. The vape isn't going to harm me with 2nd hand cancer shit, and free perfume!

Is this a shock? I thought vaping was created for this very reason. Methadone for smokers. Your next goal is to give up the substitute.

Nicotine is not an issue, it's no different than caffeine at the end of the day. It was the other shit in tobacco was the problem all the tar and other carcinogens. I mean i'm not telling you to main line nicotine but it's no different than any other mild stimulant

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
